This is an absolutely gorgeous three piece set of C.H.Field Haviland Limoges porcelain. The coffee pot is in good condition. It stands 9 inches high and is about 9 inches from the widest part of the handle to the spout. Some of the gold has worn off. As usual, but the spout has no chips, the interior rim has no chips. The inside of the lid has the little protrusion, but it's very tiny. It is possible it has been filed down but I can't tell for sure. There is the tiniest little nip out of the side of the lid. You cannot see it when it is on the pot. The painting on both sides is really lovely as you can tell from the photos. The sugar bowl is 7 inches high and 7 inches across at the widest part. The lid has that good size nip out of the bottom edge. It does not show when the lid is sitting on the sugar bowl. Some of the gold is worn. ... moreSame as the coffee pot. The bottom of the bowl has a star shaped craze. You cannot feel it with your fingernail, and it barely discernable with the naked eye. It actually looks as tho it is under the glaze. It does show thru on the inside of the bowl, barely. In the photos you can see there is a chip out of the outside edge of the bowl. You can see that when the lid is on. The pitcher is a little over 5 inches high and approx. 5 inches across at the widest part. The pitcher has been altered. Unfortunatly. Apparently a former owner had the sprout ground down-probably to take out a chip. It doesn't change the function, but does change the look. Otherwise it is in good shape except for some gold loss. Altho. The set is not perfect, it is lovely and certainly can be used.or great for display as it is large with beautiful painting. For this item. Vtg Hall China Silhouette Square Left Over Dish With Lid Discontinued 1935
Offered for your consideration is a square left over dish with lid produced by Hall China. USA, prior to 1935, when the pattern was discontinued. The pattern is Silhouette, but is also referred to as Tavern Scene. The dish is 7” x 7” and nearly 5” high with the lid on. This item has been used. And bears the scars to prove it. Some of the silver trim is worn away. The ridge inside the dish upon which the lid rests is stained. The interior is crazed, not cracked, and three of the silhouettes are still very nice, but one side is faded ~ one of the pictures shows the faded side at an angle to a side that is not faded, in order that you may see clearly what we refer to. This situation appears to have occurred under the glaze, and we suspect it came from the factory this way. This is a hard to find item. It stands 5-1/2 inches tall from the bottom to top rim. With the handle up it’s an impressive 9 inches tall. The opening of the top metal rimed opening is 3-1/8 inches. Under the matte glaze is a camel rider headed to a structure with palm trees all in front of a mountain range. Really quite an attractive design. The handle is secured by rivets to the top rim metal band. The top of the metal lid has a somewhat pitted texture. The underside is shiny and smooth. The finial appears to be original, wooden, and painted green. The bottom is unmarked but has some kind of design reminiscent of a tiny lightning bolt. CONDITION: It could use a bath but we’ll leave that joy for the new owner. I find no chips. Cracks, lines, flakes, slobbers, boogers, or any other kind of defect. There are the occasional paint scrapes or wear marks on the high edges and on the body itself but nothing altogether offensive. The top surface of the lid has some old clear cellophane tape but that should be easily removed. All in all they just don’t get much better than this one. Folks! Maling Lustre Ware Box. 3494, Birds, No Lid c.1924+ This is a very nice Maling lustre ware box. But no longer has it's lid. Has a black Maling c.1924+ backstamp along with the number 3494 in red. The box is a lovely petrol blue colour(like oil on water effect) and mother of pearl colour inside and underneath the box. The pattern shows birds on each corner, a central gilded and pink design with gilding detail around the top. In fairly good condition, no major damage other than a hairline in the base and some rubbing to the gilding. Measures approximately 12cms by 8cms and 4.75ms in height. Any white marks are camera/ light reflection. Check out my other items! For sale this vintage sugar bowl and lid by Castleton China and the pattern is Gloria. The colors are very nice grey floral with grey leaf. Cream& gold trim. Size is 7 3/4" wide by 3 1/4" tall. These come from the 1950's and are in excellent condition. This sugar bowl was used in a furniture store for display and is excellent condition. I see no damage, chips or cracks.
