WOW WHAT A BEAUTY! Antique Vintage African Tribal Milk Jug with Cup/Lid. Beautiful piece. My friend who gave this to me years ago. Said it was from Kenya possibly Maasai. From the research I have done, it looks more like the work of the Turkana Akaram tribe, who are neighbors of the Maasai. It appears to be very thinly carved wood with a hide neck stitched on. Truly remarkable work, with lovely patina. The straps are plaited rawhide. There are subtle dyes creating geometric patterns on the lid and body. The body measures 16" and the top 10" assembled it is 24" Circumference of bottom piece at widest place 27" I am not an authority by any means, so I can not verify its authenticity. Sigma the Tastesetter Muppets Ceramic Cannister with Lid Bunsen and Beaker TV
You are looking at a Muppets cannister with lid by Sigma the Tastesetter. Cannister is in the shape of a TV and features Bunsen and Beaker. Doing one of their crazy experiments. This impossible to find item is in very good condition and so adorable! Flaws are as follows: some small chips on Bunsen's glasses, a small manufacturing flaw(looks like small dents about 1/4" long, and glazed over) on the left side under Beaker, and two short craze lines on the lid. All of these should be visible in the pictures above. I am being VERY picky; these are very minor flaws and overall it looks great. Bottom reads"Sigma the Tastesetter(c) Henson Assoc.
