Up for auction is an antique 1920s 30s Thorens 3 German folk songs wooden music box in good condition for the age. The music box is in working condition and sounds good. There is normal aged wear to the wood with some light cracks and finish wear. The wooden rims which hold the lid in place on the inside of the box has two sides with broken wood. Front and left, see#3 photo. There is one metal foot missing at the bottom back right corner, see photo#10. VINTAGE WEB PEWTER ROUND BUTTER DISH WITH LID AND GLASS INSERT
This is a vintage Web pewter round butter dish. It still has its original glass dish inside. As you can see in the pictures it has a lot of marks and some corrosive marks and scratches. It needs to be cleaned. There is also a slight dent in the top of the dome which I just cannot get a picture of. Please see picture 9 as that is where the dent is. Vintage Copeland Spode Round Dome Lid Serving Bowl Green Geranium, Gadroon Style
I am selling many pieces in this pattern and will gladly combine shipping upon your request. This is old Gadroon style Spode china in the Geranium pattern. This style was discontinued in the 1960's. The newer version of this pattern has a much simpler edge. Note that these pieces have a detailed ruffled edge. This china is from a fine Maryland estate. This is investment china to keep for a lifetme and pass down through the generations. Bowl is 9-5/8" across and approximately 1-1/2" deep. The dome is 6-7/8" across. With the lid on. Clearing out a pile of old candy and apothecary jar lids from the barn. This ground lid fits the 29" tall"Colonial" apothecary jar. Patented Nov. 29, 1910. The lid measures 6" tall x 4-3/8" across the base. This auction is for the lid only. The top of the lid has had a hole drilled in it- not sure if this was to prevent condensation or not, but look at the photos carefully. Whomever drilled it must have used a glass/diamond bit because it's a clean hole approx. 7/16" in diameter. There are two small chips adjacent to the hole. This vintage four sided glass apothecary jar has excellent bowed sides. Nice paneled rib type patterns to the stem above its footed base and to the top of the jar just below its lid, a starburst type pattern on top of its lid, and a plastic seal. It measures approximately 9 1/2" to the top of its lid, or 8" to the top of the jar not counting its lid, by approximately 4 1/2" to 4 3/4" by 3 3/4" across at its widest points depending on which way you measure it. It is embossed with an I within an O on the bottom of the jar which I believe stands for Owens Illinois Glass Co. and also numbers 9(I think) 7, and 13 as I tried to show in the last photo. It is in very good condition, and has no chips, cracks, or staining. Bright spots are only light reflections. Very nice piece being offered with no reserve!
