This beautiful set is full service for 6 including the dinner plate. The desert plate, the salad bowl, tea cup, and saucer. This also includes the salt and pepper shaker, the teapot, creamer, sugar, gravy boat, vegetable bowl, and serving platter. This set was used so it shows a little wear. A couple of the cups show some light crackling of the glaze inside, and the salt and pepper shaker are missing their plugs. One of them had a small chip which you can see in the photos. 1930s/40s Vintage Fiesta Dinnerware, My Grand Mothers
Well. I will be sad to see them go. I loved this stuff as a child, and as an adult they bring back wonderful memories. It's the colors and the miss match that I think attracts children to love them so much. My father, who is 79 now, used it as a child, and my grand parents used it until they died in 2008. 3 generations. I'd say they got their money out of it. It sure is durable. Various pieces have different amounts of wear. I make no claims to perfection. Times change though. And I have to downsize and move on. Up for auction are 11 pieces of Gorham Fine China Dinnerware in Peony or Peonies pattern. I'm not sure if it is plural or not. There are 4 10 3/4 inch dinner plates. 4 8 3/8 inch salad plates, and 3 6 1/2 inch bread and butter plates. These are from an estate sale and pretty much mint condition. There are no scratches on any of the 2 smaller sized plates except for that one edge which I have pictured and that is hard to see unless turning it toward light. The dinner plates have a few extremely minor scratches hardly worth mentioning and I don't think they are from use, but just maybe being set on top of each other. Certainly cannot see them unless looking for them under a light source. I could not even get them to photograph. All plates are in gleaming condition. George used the"G eorgette" shape thru many of their patterns. mo st notably what is known as the solid color"pe tal" Th e pattern on this Serving Bowl is unknown to the sites where I obtained my information. but, they all indicated th e d inner ware I have listed here was pr oduced in the early 1930's. prior to the solid color'petal" Lovely motif of a Tree or Shrub.
