On auction is a brides basket or bowl holder. I purchased this in the 1990's to hold one of my brides bowl. Well. I packed it away and now I don't want to polish anything. I have not polished this item. I was told it was silver plate. No clue. I can not find any markings. It is 12" tall to top of finial and 10 1/2" wide at widest point. But that is how the sheets were printed. Also, one can always trim that small portion of the margins. As far as I am concerned, they should have graded higher. A note on quality of Obsolete Bank Notes. Unlike regular US Government notes. Bank notes were ... morenot printed on the finest of cotton-bond paper or with the best of inks. They were not meant to circulate for a long period of time or circulate throughout the nation. They usually circulated on a local or state level, and probably not more then a few years at best. They were printed on whatever paper was available at the time. On some notes one can see some of the wood or pulp chips in the paper. In some cases, they were printed on earlier notes that were no longer in use. The technology of acid-free paper was not there yet, as seen with some of our national historical documents, and paper was much scarcer than we can today imagine. These notes had to be printed on semi-wet or moist paper, or the ink would not properly adhere. They were very labor intensive, and were printed by hand, one side at a time. They would manually ink the press, place the damp sheet in it, and run the roller over it. The sheet would be hung to dry, and the same process of wetting and printing would be repeated for the reverse. In the case where more than one color was used, the process would have to be repeated for each color. Unpurified water was used in the wetting process, thereby introducing more

10" Pie Plate with Ceramic Decorative Dimensional Apple Design Cover/Lid
This auction is for a beautiful covered pie plate. The plate itself is brown and is 11 1/4" in diameter x 2" deep and will bake a 10" pie. The ceramic lid is ivory with brown edging(to look like a pie crust) and it has slices of apples fanned out with a whole apple in the center(which is the knob to lift the cover off) The bottom of the plate is stamped"Cooks Club" Quality Design, China. This is in almost perfect condition. I saw 1 teeny chip on the lid(last pic) The plate is ironstone(I think) because it's really heavy and the lid is ceramic. Great way to store your pie in style! It has obviously been used as a bread plate and has some minor knife scratches as might be expected. Antique Royal Crown Derby Wilmot Cake Plate 10.5" .
This auction is for an antique porcelain cake plate manufactured by Royal Crown Derby in England. The calendar mark on the back of the plate dates it back to late 19th century. The plate is approximately 10.5" in diameter. It is in good condition for its age. There is a 0.5" chip on the rim of the plate and some crazing. The plate is stamped on the back with manufacturer's mark next to a calendar mark. There was also an impressed mark in the middle of the back of the plate. But it is hardly visible at this point. This unique Rare Collectible Vintage Tea and large saucer plate/snack plate 10 piece set is made by Van Trading from a private collection. The footed cups are 3 1/2" tall and the saucer plates are 4 3/4" x 6 1/2" The gold painted through the design certainly enhances these pieces. The rims are also gold enhanced. The pieces have a light gray background with darker gray swirls throughout as shown in my pictures. One cup has a chip and a few very small nicks. On two of the saucers there is a slight worn area in the painted orange design. Some of the gold is slightly worn due to age. I accept International Buyers. Royal Tudor Ware Olde Staffordshire Barker Bros Ltd England 10" Plate Blue White
The title says everything written on the mark on the back. It is a 10" blue and white plate. Front has some utensil marks. As well as, some long crazing marks in the glaze(see pic. 4) There is a deeper scratch around left side of large flower. No chips noted. On the back, you can see two large marks. I thought them to be scratches since you can run your fingernail along them and feel them. The back is also discolored light yellow. The three marks were the glaze was on a stand appear to be missing a small part of the glaze. If you are hanging it on the wall, it will be fine. No one goes up to the plate, takes it off the wall and studies it. Do they? Weighs 1 lb 3 oz. Any questions, ask. Please check out my other items for sale. I combine shipping for postal discounts.
