CIVIL WAR ERA SURGICAL SURGEONS INSTRUMENT TIEMANN HEY KNIFE + LOOP PROBE TOOL
This is a no reserve auction for two Civil War era surgical instruments. There is a Hey knife marked Tiemann. It measures 9 ½” Handle and blade are nice and tight with no damage. The blade does have some oxidization and slight surface rust. The next tool measures 10” long and has a loop at the end. The handle is nice and tight although there is some slight separations. NICE 1800s SURGICAL / MEDICAL SCALPEL AND PROBE "MARKED"!
Here we have a very nice and hard to find. Small medical/ surgical probe for a pocket kit. It is used condition showing some staining on the handle part but the probe ends are perfect. It is maker marked"Hardy" which is a maker I am not familiar with. The other instrument is an ebony handle scalpel that has been shortened ether due to breakage of the wood or to fit in a smaller kit. There are no cracks or damage to whats left of the handle. There is an R and G in boxes marked on one side of the blade and what looks to be Hyledmann Germany on the other side. These would be great additions to your pocket kit or collection! Surgical Probe REF#600-004i I found these parts and the probe itself appears damaged and the packaging pierced. They should not be considered sterile. I believe they were run over by a car. They would make good surgical props. The cover to the probe has popped off. And part of the plastic cover is snapped. i do not see any damage on the electronics, but its hard to tell. I really don't know. I barely know what they are. They are still sealed in their packages, although again, i believe the packages to be pierced. On the plus side. Pair Vintage Surgical Instruments - Probe or Inspection Tube Pipe - Unusual
Up for Auction I have this pair of medical instruments which I am unable to identify. As you can see. They are both very similar in design and size though the rone is thicker in diameter than the other. I would think that they are for puncturing and draining as the sharp teeth stick out very slightly. The length of each is 32.5cm in total. The thicjer has a diameter of 6mm and the other of 5mm. The yare both in used condition and show a few prongs and bends with a little tarnishing too here and there. Please inspect pictures below.
