All have soil and traces of light adhesive on the sides. This is one of 3 tiles with a poppy pattern. This one is painted red and has a cream background. There are some light crazing marks. A streak of pale pin glaze to the left of the lower bud, and a black spot to the left of the top bud. There's a tiny chip at the tip of the upper right corner and small traces of adhesive on the edges. It's marked'England' on the back and has an'X' NC residents add sales tax. Here is a great lot of vintage embroidery transfer patterns. There are 11 pieces of assorted transfers including donkey purse. Nursery rhymes, initials, handmade transfers on old vintage looking paper bags, and more. Besides that, there is one Aunt Martha pattern called Lotsa Bears#3809, a Simplicity pattern#7065 originally priced $1.50, an Alice Brooks Peacock which is absolutely stunning pattern# 7230. An interesting pattern was copied on an old what seems to be a bag from a store from Athens, Alabama. Just a great great lot. I did add a couple more pieces that I did not count. He was involved in the preparation of the very first batch of chloroform which was used by Sir James Young Simpson in his historic experiment in 1847. Wi lliam Flockhart. Absolutely beautiful piece of art work! This is the earliest ink transfer beer bottle I have ever come across from the United Kingdom. It is very crude and has some neat. Slight imperfections on it, like the a glaze imperfection above the"Ale& Stout" lettering. This is not a torn off label, it is all an imperfection under the glaze? The bottle is very early, since it has a cork enclosure and an unknown unmarked pottery maker. I would date this as early as 1850's. It has very unique writing on it. Not only does its age makes this a rare bottle, but it also is unique in that Thompson, Marshall& Company, Limited, located at Aulton, Aberdeen, United Kingdom, were brewers of Ale& Stout specifically for the Queen and The Prince of Wales. It once had a label on the other side which gave the specific contents, whether it was an Ale or Stout.
