No cracks with a tiny 1/16" crease on the back of one of the scallops from the factory and light fine overall crazing. There are no chips or hairline cracks. These are hard to find. Early Staffordshire pottery pot/ jar/ censer in the Chinese Pattern by William Adams. There are several issues with this jar. One chip to rim. Area with glaze loss to inside of pot, hole has been drilled into the jar and vertical hairline crack to phoenix part of jar. There is also minor fritting to a few areas. I believe this form is quite rare and worthy of restoration to anyone who has a ceramic collection in this pattern. There are several areas stamped into the base one of which says ADAMS, but I am unable to make out what word is underneath it. The teapot is about 9 1/2" tall to the top of the flower form lid finial. Although unmarked. The scene is" Garden Scenery" by T&J Meyer and dates to around 1837. The body is eight sided and of the ironstone type.The transfer is a soft light to medium blue with a glaze that is rich and clear with a slightly bluish cast and free from any toning or discoloration. The only condition issue is the presence of three very tiny chips( see last picture) on the inside inner rim of the lid. There is no other damage or restoration. Set four old Spode Copland mark hunt scene hand enameled transfer plates Gadroon Lovely set of four circa very early 1900's Spode Copeland stoneware plates in the same hunt scene motif. The one difference in pattern that I can note is that two of the plates have one hunter in blue. Overall condition on all plates is very good with no chips or cracks to make note of. One of the plates has a bit of crazing which is mainly visible on the back. Each plate measures 7 1/4" straight across(not measuring flat on the surface of the plate) Also worth noting.Each plate does have a well in the center. Childrens Transfer Print Pearlware Mug Animals ~ Dog Begging for Supper Treat Staffordshire England c1840-50 This antique childs mug stands 2 1/4” tall and measures 2 1/2” across the top rim. With an acanthus leaf ends to applied loop handle and a turned base. It features a transfer printed in rich Van Dyk brown, showing a big dog holding his paw up to beg for a treat from a couple eating on an outdoor bench. Titled'The Dinner' the pup look to have a smile on his face. The image was finely engraved, and probably first appeared in an early child's primer or nursery book. The mug is unmarked and the maker is known. But it was most likely made in the Staffordshire potting district of England c. 1840-1850. Similar images of wild and domestic animals are shown in the book Gifts for Good Children written by Noel Riley and published ... moreby Richard Dennis. 800x600 Children's Red Transferware Miniature Creamer Milk Jug DANCING GOAT Cork. Edge& Malkin ~ Staffordshire England c. 1850 This is a gorgeous transferware cream pitcher or milk jug. Circa 1860, originally part of a complete miniature childs tea set. The little pitcher stands 2 3/4" tall on a raised pedestal base and measures 3 3/4" across the top rim with a wide spout and applied handle. The creamer is transfer printed in a rich country red finished with pearlware glaze. It is decorated in the scarce GOAT pattern(also known as"Goat Girl" Depicting a girl dancing with her pet goat. There is a manor house in the background with lush vegetation and a twisted loop border pattern. The image repeats on each side of the bowl. The decoration is so elaborate that there is very little white space on the piece. The jug ... moreis unmarked. The maker was Cork Edge and Malkin& Co. A 19th century pottery manufactory in the Staffordshire region of England in the mid-19th century.
