Three have the same scene but one is a bit different. Overall condition on all plates is very good with no chips or cracks to make note of. Two of the plates of the plates have a bit of crazing which is mainly visible on the back. Each plate measures 7 1/4" straight across(not measuring flat on the surface of the plate) Also worth noting.Each plate does have a well in the center. So they may have originally been for double handle bullion cups. Still wonderful for display considering the motif and colors. This rare Royal commemorative nursery plate was manufactured in Staffordshire. England. The plate dates from the around the 1830's- 1840's era and was most likely to commemorate the Coronation of HM Queen Victoria in 1837. The rare black transfer shows a very young queen standing in a garden wearing a long gown. Queen Victoria' is printed under the Queens figure. It comes in a cream colored ground with a border design with raised letters of the alphabet(A-Z) The plate measures just under 7-3/4" in dia. and comes in good sound condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This item is an original embroidery transfer sheet dated 1913 and published by WELDON'S. U.K. The sheet measures approximately 20 by 20 inches. The design includes the large basket of lilacs shown. There are a few sprigs of lilac blooms on the sides. The handle of the basket has a ribbon bow with long, trailing ribbon ends. This embroidery sheet was a supplement given away in an issue of Weldon's Ladies' Journal in December of 1913. Transfer is in good condition. Please see two pictures on this item. English Victorian 6" Transfer Printed Tile, Calla Lily, Bamboo, Aesthetic Period
This is a very striking transfer printed and hand colored 6 inch ceramic tile. Presumably from the Victorian period. I can't figure out the English registry mark on the back, so I'm not sure of its age. It features a central image of calla lillies surrounded by a bamboo framework with other flowers and leaves around the edges. It is about three eighths of an inch thick. The tile is in good condition for its age. There are some fine scratches across the center as shown in the photos. Please contact me with any questions you might have.

Ultra-RARE BLUE/WHITE TRANSFER WARE PLATTER/ A SCENE I HAVE NEVER SEEN!
The collector who owns this piece said to me this morning that in 40+ years of collecting; he has never seen this pattern before. This example he bought out of an attic in upstate New York back in the mid 70's. It is VERY large; measuring 16 1/2" by 13" and the center scene appears to be in a station of some sort or a lavish hall; note the ornate ceiling and the clothing of the day worn by the men. Women and children. It looks like a many level train station. surrounding the border is a thick vine of ivy and other ornate greenery. In picture#4 you'll note the hairline; the same for the backside of the platter in picture number 6. The platter I assure you is quite stable; surface shows beautifully and the crazing I think was intentional at the time of production. The bowl or saucer measures 4 1/2" in diameter, transfer printed in an rich cobalt blue with pearlware glaze on scalloped rims. Part of a series pattern and quite scarce. The motif is commonly referred to as CHINESE CHILDREN'S GAMES(sometimes called Pastimes or Juvenile Amusements) depicting children playing games with balls, marbles, bubbles, kites, spinning top, hoops and sticks. This particular saucer shows a little girl playing with a big St Bernard or Newfoundland dog and two puppies. The border trim is finished with a string of flowers and stippling. The bowl is marked Minton the name of an early 19th century pottery manufactory in Stoke in the Staffordshire ... moreregion of England. This is a large tureen and cover in the Grindley Country Inn Series- Pink transfer printed with scenes of English inns- this shows"The Lambert Arms" on the lid and"The Radnorshire Arms" on the base. Dates from the 1960s/70s. The lid has a cut out for a soup ladle or serving spoon. Size: 10 3/4 inches wide across the handles and about 7 1/2 inches high( 27.5 x 19 cm approx) Weight: 1774 grammes Condition: good- no chips or cracks. Light wear. The only fault I can find is a small black mark on the side under a handle that appears to be a manufacturing fault.

Beautifully printed in a lovely soft puce. Cup measures 4cm tall and the saucer is 11cm in diameter. Lovely antique condition with no damage. VINTAGE BISCUIT JAR WITH PASTEL FLORAL TRANSFER
Auction is for a Porcelain Biscuit Jar that has embossing on the top and bottom and lovely pastel floral transfers that we understand is quite old; unsure of date because it is unmarked. Like so many earlier items. The sprays of pastel flowers are located on the front and back and the lower portion of this biscuit jar has colors that are light blue. Yellow with brown, while the lid has the same coloring with a few touchs of pink added. Item measures 5 1/2" tall and is 5" at widest area with a 3 1/2" opening and inside it has one black fire mark(typical of the old kilns utilized in the past) located under the glazing in the corner fold. There are no chips on the rim or opening but it there is loss of porcelain on two of the little projected footings(one in the back area and one on the right of front pattern. Two have hairline cracks not so noticeable on the outside of the cup but more obvious inside. pictures of each, inside and out, included) the fifth teacup had a V-shaped piece broken out in an earthquake but a very clean repair job was done. see pics) The Waste Bowl has some dark bumpy spots in the bottom like a glazing defect(see pics) The Creamer was damaged in the earthquake with part of the spout breaking off. A partial section was glued back on leaving a small V shape section missing and asmall chip on one side(see pics) Other than the details I have provided.
