Here is a great piece for the GAS and OIL collector. Up for auction is a just discovered Vintage Original GULF OIL Porcelain Letter GAS STATION/ SERVICE STATION Sign. I bought this from the original owner that retired from GULF Oil Co. It had been hanging in his personal garage for decades. This sign was hanging at a local 28th Street FT. Worth TEXAS Gulf station until it's removal and has resided locally since new. It is in amazing original condition. Probably one of the nicest in existence! This sign has absolutely no fading and still sports it's original bright, deep, glossy finish. Shows ZERO rust. It does show light wear as it is in used shape. Shows light scratching and scuffing but one of the nicest old Petroleum signs I have ever found. Nice. Used neon channel letter" R" Very Good Condition. Very fancy. Unusual style! It is a used letter. Not new! In Good shape! I do not see any cracks or breaks. Measures appx. 17" high x 5" deep. Plexiglass cover is an unusual style. Grey with sort of a dotted pattern. PLEASE CHECK MY PHOTOS. Has original nice neon tube for lighting and it works fine. You will need a neon transformer in order for the letter to light up. They can be found on Ebay at reasonable prices. Transformer is not included in this auction. Great Display piece.
