In good used condition with lots of life left in it. The spring loaded blade works and cuts easily. It does have some paint on the metal parts as shown and scuffs. Scratches and screw holes in the wood. Measures 12/14" tall, 27 3/8" long foot to foot, the feet are 6 7/8" front to back. The top wood bar is 2 3/16" wide. This will hold a roll up to 25" long. Feet have holes for securing to a counter top. No mfg' marks. I do buy and resale from Estate sales so I cannot guarantee these items come from Smoke free/ Pet free homes. Probably commercial grade for a city bakery or maybe a restaurant or hotel. This group includes t hree dies, spiral whirligig c utters and two baking cups. The cutter dies are made of heavy iron and bronze with spring loaded plunge and precision built to fit the cups. They all work like they should. The company names embossed on the tops I believe is the maker name. One is R.M.TEMPLE. PA. MADE IN USA. and two are F.M. STEWART. PHILA PA. USA. The dies are about 3 7/8 inches across face. Cups are about 3 1/8 inches across inside and these fit perfectly together. They make great Kaiser Rolls as you can see. But it is of very good quality. It will look fantastic on display but it is still in absolutely perfect working condition(as a matter of fact, I ran out of wrapping paper during Christmas and used ... morethis) This paper roll cutter has a wooden top and base with cast iron legs on each end. There is a wooden dowel for holding the rolls of paper and the cutter blade is metal attached to the cast iron arm. There is an old roll of paper loaded into it and we are including it with the cutter. The paper roll has metal caps on each end– these might be removable so they can used on other rolls. But I am not sure. The cutter stands 12 ½” tall. The wooden top measures 19 ½” x 2” and the wooden base measures 19 ½” x 5” The cast iron legs are each 11” tall and are attached to base with a span of 17 ½” between them. The cutter arm is 16 ¼” long and moves freely. The roll of paper is 15 ½” wide and there is not that much left on the roll. The cutter weighs just over 8lbs. This antique cutter is in eggsellent condition with just a few flaws. The back side of the wooden base has a split or crack in the wood lengthwise that goes from end to end. The split is more noticeable on the left side– I would recommend some wood glue along the split line and a clamp on each end. There are a few minor scuff marks in the paint or stain. Antique General Store/Butcher Shop rolled paper holder/cutter for ten inch paper. To restore this paper dispenser it should be disassembled. Bead blasted, primed, and given two coats of a period correct satin black enamel finish, and then the rolled paper holder/cutter mounted to a nice red oak base, given a rich reddish/brown hand rubbed wood oil finish. An appropriate sized dowel should also be attached to the right hand side of the base(to the right of the cutter) over which a cone of store wrapping string is placed. This would make a great addition to any general store, antique shop, or country kitchen. Patina of rust is on this item at present.
