Here we have a wooden ship launching box with a carved image of the vessel“Falcon” surrounded by shipyard cranes on the top and containing a fancy carved hatchet. The neck of the christening bottle, a christening banner that reads“Varo M/N. Falcon”19 Luglio 1959” and a second small blank piece of fabric. Inside the top cover is a silver plaque that reads“M/n. Falcon”19-7-1959/Cantieri Navali di Taranto” Box measures 13” x 6” x 2-1/2” and is in very good condition with some light wear here and there and a bit of rust on the hinges but no other damage of significance. The“M/S Falcon” was a bulk carrier also named Fezzano(1970) Libia Cuomo(1977) and Springtime(1980) She was scrapped on May 10. 1982 at Gadani Beach.
