These are from when Beaver Dam switched over from the brass name tags to the 1st sticker tags that still had the patent# on them. Tip ups with theses particular stickers are very rare so they are very sought after by collectors. This auction is for 1 tip up with the patent# and the other tip up has the sticker without the patent# You will be able to see the difference in pictures 2 and 3. 1957 Olive Drab Military Jacket Wool with Patches and Collar Points sz M Belgium
This is a wool military olive drab short jacket dated 1957. The jacket is in excellent condition with no stains. Rips, tears or soiling. It has a couple of patches as well as the metal collar stripes. I believe the jacket is Belgium it is sized 52 1/2 this would be a medium I believe in US measurements. The Jacket has all the buttons they are under the placket and pocket flaps to give a neat appearance. It has a synch waist. The measurements here are important because sizes very so please compare this to a jacket that fits you well. The jacket is measured laying flat. It is 24" across the chest armpit to armpit. The sleeves are 25" long from shoulder seam down. The width across the shoulder back is 17 3/4" The waist is 19 1/2" across with some give at the belt you could adjust this a little. Lantern is signed Dietz Scout Made in USA with 1904. 1908, and 1914 patent dates. Complete and original, solid tin brass construction except wick tube, has a nice original dark olive drab finish, likely for Boy Scout or Military applications. This authentic cap was made October 1. 1948, by the Detroit Uniform Novelty and Cap Co. and came from an elderly Army veteran. The cap is a size 7 and still has the tag attached in the inside lining. This is an ideal opportunity to own and preserve a historical artifact from a critical time in our nation's history when we were overseeing the rebuilding of Europe and beginning the Cold War. This vintage WWII U.S. Army patch features a red and white striped triangle inside a dark blue circle. The patch is 3.5" in diameter and is attached to a white twill arm band that measures 18" in length. The patch belonged to my father and was recently found among a group of other patches from World War II that he had saved after his enlistment ended. It is in very good condition but the band has discoloration in the form of rust. Most likely from the pins that were attached to it at one time. Russian Optics Box - Wooden - Olive Drab
This was a bring-back from a foreign country that received Russian aid. It is a vintage Russian optics carry case. Measuring 10-7/8 inches long x 5-1/2 inches wide x 7 inches tall. It is a dove-tailed construction with old world technology spring latches. It has a paper certificate label glued to the inside of the lid. The handle is leather with sewn leather tabs to secure it to the lid. There is a crack in the bottom plank(see picture 4) wear to edges, and a somewhat spotty olive drab paint job. Has probably seen combat and exhibits all the wear and tear you would expect. It weighs almost three pounds. If this box could talk, the tales it would tell! This thing is really made well. You see the little slot-headed screws on the handle on the top? Underneath they have tiny little nuts holding it all together. I accidentally put a burn hole/mark on the back of it when it sat on my bike exhaust. In my opinion the burn does not affect it's function. There is a burn on the back of the bag and a few burns on the left shoulder strap. I have taken close up pics of the burns. The pack is missing the waist belt which I never really found a use for anyways. I relocated the"Camelbak" patch to the front middle of the pack and sewed on a velcro loop section for a flag patch. The very top of the pack had my name tag and rank patches sewn on which I removed and you can see where the stitching from these were. Overall the bag is still very functional and has plenty of life ... moreleft in it. This is the older Motherlode which will differ from the newer generation Motherlode packs.
