Danish Modern Vintage music cabinet mid-century modern albums jewelry storage
Danish Modern Vintage Cabinet 11 Drawers Heavy and Well Built. 34" tall. 16.25" wide& 14.25" deep Drawers can hold records. Sheet music, magazines or jewelry. Measure 13 7/8" x 12 11/16 x 2.5" Internal We have rarely seen these cabinets. And usually they are done in natural wood and not colored. But black was the original color of this custom ordered cabinet. As indicated by stencil marks. To ensure perfect condition we restored it fully with about 6 coats of black lacquer giving it a truly elegant. Dark sheen and glow. These cabinets were originally designed to hold sheet music. However over the years people have found many other practical uses for these cabinets. Most commonly people have used them to safely store and protect albums and magazines. The cabinet could also be used for jewelry or art supplies. One ... moreof the unique original features of these cabinets that made them ideal for sheet music(as well as magazines and vinyl albums) is the fact there are no sides on the drawers and a small circle cut out on the bottom of the drawer. These were design features that allowed someone to gently put their finger through the circle to push up the sheet music. Album or magazine and easily slide it off the shelf without bending edges or causing any wear or tear. The circles could easily be covered up if desired. But come in very handy for almost all of the practical storage uses of the cabinet. The condition is excellent and it looks incredible. Minor imperfections exist as it is a vintage model but these are exceptionally minor. This looks and displays fantastically. The lacquer giving it a lovely luster. This item will be sent via Fedex. This is a Quality Piece to have in your home. the entire piece goes in tongue and grove and doweled. Only 8 bolts that tie it down. Beautiful carved flowers and detail in the wood. This can be used as a china cabinet or even make it a wardrobe by making middle part a shoe holder for beautiful shoes and put a rod on each side to hang clothing. 70" Width 74" high and 17" deep Original Keys come with the cabinet. Vintage primitive wood storage box with 5 drawers. Measures 7 1/2" long x 5 1/2" wide and 7 1/4" high. The top drawer is 3/4" deep and gradually gets deeper. The bottom drawer is 1 1/4" deep. Good pre owned condition with light age and rubs with some wear on the top. The chest appears it was used for small tools or parts. 5 drawers that slide in smoothly and the 2 top drawers have wood handles.
