This is an antique wooden storage cabinet made for the Angel Dainty Dye Co. of Chicago. These cases were stocked with packets of dyes and sent to various pharmacies and other businesses for the display and sale of Angel Dainty Dyes. This case is old and shows signs of age and use. It has various scrapes and scratches and paint spatters but is still a charming old cabinet. All but one of the shelves on the inside are missing. There is still a remnant of the original dye list on the inside of the door. Handsomely scrolled Malaysian Storage Cabinet.
This Cabinet is Chinese crafted and comes from the Malay Peninsula. It was obtained personally in Singapore about 1968. Note the beautiful scroll work on the doors. The cabinet has two large hinged doors opening outward and two drawers. There is one shelf in the interior but others could be made. The cabinet measures 4 feet ling. 3 feet high and 18 inches deep. The cabinet originally was painted in rich Chinese reds. Blues and yellows but has been renovated to the darker color.

This is a cool design piece that comes in two separate pieces and sits on castors. The top chest with 4 drawers and top storage comes off and can be placed some place separately. The bottom unit has top drawer and large storage compartment with a lips up removable lid. The unit sits on castors and has push/pull handle. The drawers would use some oil or lubricant for smoother gliding as they are a bit rough. There are a few dents, scratches and scuffs as noted in photos but give the piece character.
