Vintage Metal Medicine Medical Cabinet Built in Shelves Industrial Steampunk
Here is a very. Very nice mid century, probably 1950's, all metal medical medicine cabinet that mounts on the wall. Not sure if the cabinet is galvanized steel, but has that look to it. This cabinet is really in excellent shape for its age. The cabinet itself measures about 22" high, about 17 1/2" wide, and about 6" deep. The mirror measures 9 1/2" x 14" The cabinet has no dents or dings in it except for one small ding on the back right side(you can see in picture) Not sure if the cabinet is galvanized steel, but has that look to it. There is also a bit of tape residue on the back of the cabinet in one upper corner- I took some of it off, but not all. The best thing is the built in metal shelves, they look great. The cabinet opens and closes fine, and has a really nice looking key hole, but no key comes with it. ... moreThe mirror has no cracks or chips, but does have some very minor surface scratches on it. This item is in good cosmetic condition with some minor wear including scuff marks and scratches but this does not effect the functionality of the item. The function buttons are all in good condition. The glass and plastic guards are in good condition with no cracks or chips. The lights and heating element are in good condition as well. We turned the heat to the maximum and let the item sit for around 15 minutes. We could feel the item heating up immediately. We used a digital thermometer to test the temperature of the item. Up for sale is my most prized piece of antique furniture-a stunningly beautiful antique oak quarter-sawn secretary with display shelf and fold-down writing top. Behind the writing top are several small cubby holes for storage of stamps. Envelopes, pens, pencils, etc. Above the storage area is a large glass mirror and small display shelf. The display cabinet side features a full-length"curved glass" door and 4 display shelves. The woodwork itself is very ornate and so rare that I've never seen another Secretary quite like this one. It stands a little over 6' high, it's about 42" wide at it's widest point, and it's about 15"deep. This fine piece of furniture has been in my family for countless years but I remember that we paid somewhere around $1,500 for it when we bought it. This item is for pick-up ... moreonly due to size. They are quite large. each piece has three deep shelves. They are both sturdy and they were built well. Please choose which one you would like. They look the same, bit they ate a little different. Shelf# 1 this shelf is on the left of the photos. It has the full glass doors( no muttons) it measures: 80" tall x 38" wide and 24 5/8" deep on each side Shelf# 2 has the cross bars on the glass. Vintage / Antique Display / Storage Shelves with Glass Windows on each Drawer.
It is really big: 5' tall. 2' wide, and over 4' wide(I don't know if the pictures convey how big it is. so it is local pick-up only. That being said, myself and one other person moved it to where it is now in my 2nd flr apt(its not too heavy when you take the drawers out) It has little adjustable divider slats too(see in close-up pic) A few of the knobs are missing(as you can see in pics) but I have some semi-matching knobs to put on. I would guess this is from the late 60's. Unique piece. I love it; its just too big for my apt.
