ANTIQUE WALNUT THREE SECTION ONE PIECE EMPIRE BOOKCASE BOOK SHELVES OLD GLASS
Here is a terrific late 19th to early 20th century Empire style three section one piece walnut bookcase with fluted columns. Octagonal feet with casters and dentition across the top of the front as well as old glass. This large functional old bookcase stands 65 inches tall and measures 74 inches wide by 18 inches front to back, with the feet being it's widest point. The top board on the bookcase itself is 72 inches long and 17 inches deep front to back. Inside the bookcase, the internal measurements of the bookcase on each end is 23 inches wide by 56 1/2 inches tall and 13 1/2 inches deep, while the central section measures the same height and depth but is 22 inches wide. Each of the three sections offers it's base as well as three additional adjustable shelves for storing books, with each of the shelves measuring 12 inches deep with ... morean additional inch beveled edge at the front. The old glass is completely intact and free of any cracks or breaks. The bookcase does have old lock mechanisms but I have not located a key to work them at this point. Overall this bookcase is in very good condition for it's age, with only two small spot across the front with any damage to the veneer and potential easy restorations if the new owner desired. There are a few minor nicks and small scratches to one side of the case but otherwise this bookcase is in very good condition for a piece it's age. VTG Kitchen Wallpaper Border 1950s 4 Rolls! Plates Fruit Ivy Shelves Duro Wall
Welcome to my listing for a lot of FOUR unused rolls of vintage wallpaper border with a gloriously retro kitchen theme of lattice and wall shelves holding plates. Bowls, fruit, ivy, and a cute figural planter shaped like a rabbit. These rolls are still in their original boxes and were manufactured by Duro and made in the U.S.A. There are no dates on the boxes so I can't be sure how old they are, but they look several decades old at least, and the style of the design and the box graphics both look very 1950s to me. The borders are about 3 inches wide, with a light grey background, a running upper border lattice design in red, and motifs of plates and fruits and ivy in red, chartreuse, dark green, red, blue, and white. According to the package, each roll is 12 feet long. Three of the rolls end with a serrated or zig-zag edge, which I believe ... moreis how the strip of wallpaper border was cut by the manufacturer, while the fourth roll has a straight edge- I think because someone cut off a small sample swatch from the end(the roll looks"full" and seems to fill up the box, so I think the cut-away piece must have been fairly small. The package says this is"pre-pasted" but I really doubt that the paste would still work if you tried to hang it today- so I am going to call these"AS IS, but I'm sure an experienced wallpaperer would be able to mount these borders.
