Grain bins- round. Cylindrical, currugated steel bins- are everywhere in rural, farm country. You can't drive more than a mile or two down a country road and not see at least one. And not just farmers use them. Grain elevator operators use them too, in both large and small sizes. Feed and seed dealers are users too, as is any business with a need to store a bulk commodity such as grain, corn, seed or feed out of the weather. If you have a farm scene on your model railroad layout. You should have a few of these grain bins around the hay barn, the chicken house, the cow barn, or the pig shed. Or, if you have a grain elevator on a siding, cluster a bunch of these grain bins around it for supplemental grain storage. These grain bins are by Ertl. The die cast metal toy car and truck manufacturer. These bins, however, are hard plastic, yet ... morethey still incorporate all the excellent detail Etrl puts into its fine motor vehicle models. Custom built sand/coal station with bins and crane from Morgan Hill Models
You are bidding on one custom built sand/coaling station. Built in On30 scale, but could be used in On3 or On2. The building is NOT from a kit and has been lightly weathered. The crane and coal/sand bin is from a Morgan Hill Models kit. The coal/sand bucket is from Wiseman Model Services. I added a handle to the bucket. The crane can rotate 360 degrees and the chain can be adjusted with the removal of a brass pin at the pulley base. The footprint of this item is 6” wide by 4” deep. This is a 9 compartment Lucite Candy storage bin. I'm sure that you could store or display other things also This is commercial type stuff. The Lucite is 1/4" 62.25" Total Width) Width of each bin = 7" 8.25" height 12.5" front to back of unit There is a scoop holder AND a scoop for each of the 9 bins. The scoop hold measures 7.25 x 3.25 x 1.5(height) I will include 18 total scoops so that you have an extra for each bin This is HEAVY at almost 35 pounds so shipping cost is based on your location However there are no breaks or cracks in the lucite. There are a few"foggy"spoty marks in the lucite(see photo# 5) It looks almost new and would blend in fine with a new store. The lid of each bin has it's own"hinge" The hinge is made of lucite which makes me think that this was a very expensive ... moreitem new. The lucite hinge looks very good.
