The box is painted black with a gold trim. It isn’t very heavy so I think it is made mainly of tin with a nice hand forged brass handle. THERE IS A LOCK BUT NO KEY. When you open the strong box there is a inserted Compartment that fits into the box. And can be lifted out. Vintage Metal West Germany TEA TIN Biscuit Candy Container Storage Vanity
This is a vintage tin container for tea or biscuits from back in the 1940s-50s- it stands 5 1/2" tall to the top of the half-inch round brass knob on the lid and the oval base measures 3 1/2" X 5" It is an extremely well made tin container with the double lid that seals tightly. A lovely'loopy oval' shape with Renaissance children on the front and the back. This is very clean- the knob shows some wear to the gilding and has a couple of tiny dents in the knob top. The base is stamped in raised letters'CONTAINER MADE IN WESTERN GERMAN' The base has some spots of surface rust where something has damaged the gilded finish. The interior. Nice White's Coinmaster Metal Detector With Storage Case & Extras - Near Mint!
This is an extremely nice White's Coinmaster metal detector. It was originally purchased in 1977 from a metal detector shop that used to be in Virginia Beach. VA. It comes in a hard-shell, padded storage/carry case. When you open the case it is like opening a time capsule. It has the mint-condition detector, coil, adjustable pole for the coil. It also has an envelope with the instruction manual, original warranty paper, an addendum to the instructions with some hand-written notes on setting the detector up for the treasure hunt. There are a few newsletters from the Virginia Beach detector shop as well as a classic canvas pocketed apron with the shop name on it. And finally, there is a small envelope that has a classic earpiece and a chunk of ferrous metal- I can only guess it is for calibration.
