Awesome Vintage Industrial Wood Foundry Mold from 1930-1940: Screw Conveyor
This no reserve auction features an awesome vintage industrial foundry mold for a screw conveyor. This item is beautifully handcrafted out of mahogany wood. This precision woodworking piece was made in the 1930-40s and used to make sand casts. The casts were then filled with molten metal to form the metal parts needed for the machines. The mold patterns make beautiful home accents and wall décor or they could be used as they were originally intended- to make molds. The wood grain has been enhanced over the years. And the craftsmanship is amazing. The molds are in original condition. In order to maintain their authenticity. And aged patina they have not been sanded, modified, or restored. One is missing one"tooth" and also has a chip on the outside middle ring. There is one number 42 and there are two number 40's. The number 42 has"made in usa" on it as well as the"Hemingray" name. This is an interesting nutcracker. I read a bit about nutcracker construction. And I found out that this type“screw” nutcrackers first appeared in the 17 th century. And they were simple in structure but then artisans began carving and shaping intricate designs. This one is definitely Not that Old! but it is an vintage piece- It is marked on the back France. It is made of 2 pieces- a wooden bowl with wooden screw that turns to smash/ break the nuts. Heavy lovely full wood piece– type of wood unknown- Size: height of bowl section is approx 2 ¼ inches with diameter of 2 ¼ inches; the length with the screw totally expanded is approx 6 inches– when it is screwed in. The length is approx 4 ¼ inches. Condition: It is an older piece and does show wear to the wood– I have not shined it– Appears to work well- France is worn on the base. ... moreBut still legible. Antique Fulton Wood Marking Gauge w/Wood Screw
After looking at other listings. I determined that this is a wood marking gauge. The brand, Fulton, is clearly marked on the gauge. I don't know the age. The condition seems to be decent for age and use. It is 8.5" in length. The wood piece slides easily up and down the measure, but the wooden screw does not turn; I didn't want to force it. This was part of my father's tool collection. Please look closely at the pictures.

For your consideration is an Electro-Harmonix Russian Big Muff Pi made between 1999 and 2000. It is version 8 of the Russian Muffs. With the 6 screw enclosure and original wooden box. The pedal works great and sounds phenomenal. But the tone control pot is a bit scratchy(could be cleaned with contact cleaner) Also, the pedal is missing two of its chicken head knobs and the remaining knob is not original. The original knobs were lost a long time ago after they came loose. Physically, the pedal and box have some surface scratches and wear. The box also had wood stain spilled on it at some point.
