Here you find a trio of vintage M1 Garand stock metal parts. A 1950s era Springfield Armory buttplate, rear swivel and short buttplate screw. The buttplate has the rounded post WWII tumbler, a good trapdoor and a gray parkerized finish over a good bit of wear and minor pitting. The underside of the part shows most of the pitting, both sides have wear under the finish. The checkering on the exterior is about 15% The rear swivel is found in good useable shape, a pretty nice part. The short screw is fair and has a very worn head. It has two joined metal bottles of different sizes, which I think is unusual. It measures 3 and 3/4 inches long, 2 and 1/4 inches wide, and the larger bottle is about 1 and 3/8 inches in diameter, and the smaller one is about 3/4 inches in diameter. The screw caps work well, the chains are intact, and I have not cleaned it. Some dents should be apparent in the photos. I cannot be certain what this item is. For sale are a lot of antique and vintage Door-Stops. These are the kind that screw into the wall/molding to prevent a door from damaging the wall when opened. There are all sorts here including wood ones from the victorian period. A few early metal ones, and a weird brass figural rabbit. I think the rabbit may not be a door stop but it sure looks like one. It may just be a draw pull. The most awesome is that massive brass/bronze one as seen close-up in the last 4 pictures. It is simply massive and beautiful! The condition of the stops are generally good with varying degrees of typical wear from age and use, as pictured. One is missing a screw, another has some nail holes, and none have been cleaned. This is a set of two quart jars with metal screw on lids and one pint jar with glass lid. The quarts read"Ball Perfect Mason" on them and the pint reads"Ball Ideal" on it. Great condition. Just n ormal aging for antique. The metal lids are some discolored as per picture. One looks sealed and the other is puffed out some, both screw on jars tight. J ar's in great condition!
