1954 Magnificent Magnavox, tube radio-phonograph
This is a 50's radio-phonograph console named the Magnificent Magnavox. This is a beautiful piece of furniture with a working AM/FM tuner. With a cool, green"tuning indicator eye" It is like stepping right back into the 50's. The phonograph does not work. I am not sure what it would take to fix it. Seems like everything is there. The cabinet is in good shape, except for some scratches on the front and top. The original owner's manual is included along with the 45 rpm adapter. The radio and amplifier in this instrument are powered by 15 tubes(including 2 rectifiers) and a crystal diode detector. The power delivers up to 20 watts of high fidelity audio power to 4 speakers consisting of 2 heavy-duty 12 inch bass speakers and 2 treble speakers. The amplifier has separate volume. This is a charming retro looking vintage Hi-Mood Hi-Fi AM/FM Red Plastic Tube Radio. With a little research it looks like this was made by Sansei Electronics Corp SEC but I am not positive. I do not see any sort of specific model number on this. Or other markings. I am uncertain of the date, but by appearance I would guess this is most likely from the 1950s to early 60s? It is a tube radio, and has all or most of its internal parts intact. It currently powers on and I can get it to work with a bit of fiddling with the knobs. I had to jiggle to volume knob to get the reception to come in clear. Also the AM/FM knob is missing, and there is a part loose(little metal and plastic thing-part of knob? There also is no antenna which is part of the reception issue I am sure. The tuning knob works, and I was able to get multiple stations, BUT also ... moreneeded to play with the volume knob too. I am not an expert and am unsure how this exactly works but it seems to need some sort of repair. Being sold As-Is. Otherwise this is in good vintage used condition with some wear and tear to the plastic including scuffs, marks, paint or something splatters, and overall it is very dirty. Nice thirteen(13) piece lot of vintage radio military equipment knobs. These were molded from black Bakelite with metal skirts. All(except maybe 1 knob missing set screw) come equipped with set screws for secure installation on a standard round quarter inch control shaft. This assortment consists of thirteen(13) knobs measuring approximately 1 1/16" in diameter(head) with 1 5/8� diameter skirt and 1 1/8" tall. All of the knobs have an indicator arrow on the face of the skirt. I was told that these items came from the estate of a silent key and they came to me in a large mixed lot of radio components. They are dirty/ dusty but should clean up nicely with some soap and hot water, otherwise they are in good overall physical condition. This stuff is old American made items. This is a Vintage cereal premium. It is a 1947 Lone Ranger Atom Bomb ring offered by Kix Cereal on the Lone Ranger radio program. The ring is made of brass gold plated. The bomb is made of polished aluminum. The tail is made of red plastic. The ring finish is excellect.Round without bends. The bomb is bright without dents; the plastic tail is shiny with a few dings and a miscue hairline fracture on the edge, that is almost invisable. Vtg FLEETWOOD Transistor 6 Six Pocket RADIO Japan Leather Case Earbud Nice Color
The leather case on this radio shows a few scuffs. Creases, and line indentations. The radio, measuring about 3 1/2" tall, is pretty clean showing a few light scuffs and scratches, and signs of light wear. It has an interesting color. It looks like a darker coral to me, but me sense of color isn't the best. It may look different in person. The radio turns on and I picked up a couple of stations. The earbud is untested. There are a couple of tiny triangles around the 6 and 12, civil defense? The volume seems to be stuck or a little tricky to adjust. The volume may not be functioning properly, I'm not an expert on these things. Please examine all 12 pictures as they are an important part of the description. This Dynatron Nomad TP11 hails from 1959 England. It predates the famous British made Hackers. Which were some of the best sounding, best performing radios of all time. Using two PP9 9 Volt batteries, this one packs some power and performance, despite being early solid state. It has a very nice green finish and has been cleaned, polished, and restored. Receives LW and MW bands. Please view the photos carefully. I am selling off most of my radio collection, savings for you, kind of a loss for me.
