This"bullet train" is a Kato 10-510 Series 500 Shinkansen"Nozomi" 4-car Powered Set in N Scale and manufactured in Japan. The cars are in excellent condition in the original plastic boxes but NOT in the external cardboard box shown in the stock image from Kato. If you look closely at the stock pic you will see the plastic boxes containing the cars. The train has had about 90 minutes of run time on Kato superelevated double track powered by a Tech 3 Power Command Model 9500 power pack by MRC. Please ask questions BEFORE bidding. Marklin HO scale 3-unit articulated commuter set. The 3 units are painted identically in maroon or dark red. There is a cream stripe running along the lower edge above the chassis and the roofs are silver. There are three coaches with windows and there are four trucks supporting the three cars. There is one motor that drives the first pair of trucks and the following pair of trucks are non-powered. On the sheet metal underside there is one metal plate that is embossed"Germany West" not the other way around) There is one small spot of light discoloration about 1/16" by 1/8" on the roof of the trailing unit. And there is a pin-head sized dark spot on the same roof. The rest of the paint scheme on all 3 units is un-marked. Both nose areas are clean and there are no scratches or marks. There is a small bubble beneath the paint ... morenearly beneath one of the metal handrails on the left rear of the power unit. There is no break or rupture of this bubble and I do not know if this bubble is a paint or metal problem. Nevertheless, the area affected is small and smooth, though raised. The two vestibules are painted in the identical scheme as the 3 cars and both vestibules are clean and sharp-no scratches. The box is probably the original box but the identifying label is missing on the end. Shipping in the U.S. is 18.75.
