Small Vintage Art Deco Era Beveled Glass Mirror Scalloped Edge Bald Eagle on Top Here is a beautiful small wall mirror. Adorned with an Amercian Bald Eagle on top, it has the fluted or scalloped(whichever you call it) beveled glass perimeter that is oh-so-early-deco. The base of the mirror is made from wood, and you can see that the eagle, as well as the fancy decoration are applied to the wood. I cannot tell if they are also made of wood, or if they are some other material like gesso- the finish doesn't have enough wear to see underneath. It's in excellent solid and sturdy structural condition. These old scalloped mirrors are so hard to find in good condition. When I run my fingers around the edge, I can just feel some very light rough spots on the pointed edges of the scallop- not even big enough to call chips, though, you have ... moreto feel for them to know they are there. The mirror reflects very well. It has very minor scratching that can be seen, and you can see the small black spots of silver loss around the two tacks in the mirror- there's a number of small ones- see photo 5. They are really hard to see in my photo of the bottom one, but it's very similar to what you see in photo 5. They do not impact the reflection, though, and I just think they give the mirror the charcter of its age. The gold finish is in really nice shape- I do not think that it is original. I'm showing in photo 15 that there's some white paint that can be seen on the back- I don't think that's under the gold, though, it appears to be on top. I'm showing in photo 11 just how thick the glass of the mirror is- you can see it takes on a green hue from the side. There's spots where the gold paint is up on the side of the mirror, too- but not on the front, and it doesn't interfere with the reflection. There's minor paint ware and scratching, really really minor on the front, with a little more on the back but still minor too. There's a loop on the top for hanging- you are good to hang with this

Vintage Sanyo Beta Betacord VCR 4400 WORKS with 1 Tape Top Loader
Vintage. Used, Sanyo Beta VCR 4400. I have tested this machine- it plays fine with acceptable picture quality on a modern TV. I cleaned the heads, too- which is why I had the cover off the VCR. As you can see from the picture, it does play- I have kept(as a piece of history) a"Rambo: First Blood Part 2" Beta tape. I have NOT tested the recording ability of this machine. This is the movie playing in the picture. I am including a blank? Beta tape(that was in another player I found) but NOT the Rambo movie. Again. The Rambo movie is NOT included- only a blank? tape without a jacket. This is a classic top loading player. While it does work now. It is 30 years old(dated 11/1/1984 or perhaps 1/11/1984, depending on the system they used) and rubber belts, etc, tend to stretch, crack, etc over time. Therefore, this machine is sold as working ... morebut with the understanding that there is no warranty or returns. Again, I have NOT tested the recording features of this machine. There are many small scuffs and scratches on the top of the machine as well as a few on the front. On the reproducer it reads: Victor Talking Machine. Co. Camden, NJ. Exhibition, Pat in US& Foreign Countires by Manufactured Exclusively. The base measures aprox. 19" long X 15 1/2" wide X 13" tall with lid closed& 24 1/2" high with top open fully. The reproducer is loose on the back but screws are there. 10" diam turntable with felt. The arm is 7" long from back to bend. 2" diam reproducer. There are some scratches. ... moreA ring scratch where you wind up the handle and on the base, in the back, a piece of wood missing(see photos) In front there are 2 small doors that open for sound to project. Comes with a clean-sweep record purifier. Container with extra needles, a plastic piece that reads: Mayfair. Permanent record needle, precious metal point, also included is the windup arm/handle.
