Antique Quilt top, pretty pastel stars
Up for bid is an antique quilt top with pretty pastel fabric stars trimmed in black threading. Each star is different and is bordered by light blue fabric. I bought this quilt top to decorate my daughter's nursery. And have never laundered it. It is in overall good condition for its age. It has a few minor spots. And two places where the fabric pulls away in the fold of the stars, I would think this could be tacked easily. It does have remnants of light green thread that is loose on the quilt, and I'm not sure if it was ever sewn to a bottom at one time or not. This thread can be pulled out easily. It measures approx. 68x87. and has an uneven border due to not being quilted to a bottom. There is also a few tiny holes in the fabric on one of the stars(see picture) The colors are generally pastels: checks. Florals, poca dots, nursery ... morerthyme characters, and solids. It would be pretty if someone wanted to quilt it. On at least two blocks there is a faint yellowing that mimicks the shape of the star"points" I don't know if this could have come from the quilt top being folded and a yellow star fabric left an impression on the fabric. This may be something that could be bleached out, but I have not attempted to clean it in any way. I am not an expert on the subject of old quilts, I've just always bought what I thought was"pretty" This quilt is being sold as is. And is you need more pictures please ask. This exquisite time capsule survived WW1& WW2. Silent movies, the sinking of the Titanic, and the Russian revolution; has laid dormant for over 100 years waiting for the next romance. A very nice antique French hand made trunk by noted trunk maker J. Krogner. Krogner established his business in 1850 and a contemporary of other builders of his day such as Goyard. Vuitton, and Moynat which are considered among the finest. Krogner's store was located at 11 Avenue De L'Opera. A thriving location in the heart of Paris. Near the Paris Opera House. Moynat and another well respected maker. Au Depart, were also located on that street in close proximity. In 1878, it is known Krogner published a"Guide To Paris" book which was in English and quite popular. Because the wrong restoration may sometimes do more damage than good. This is some of the most beautiful hand work I have seen in a long time.It is on a very fine white linen fabric. In addition to the pulled/drawn work there is some tiny little stems of flowers. This is all white on white work. There are a couple of cuts to the bottom of the fabric I am not sure why they are there. They look like they were cut with a scissors. and are not close to the embroidered part at all. I don't know what this piece is intended for but I can think of lots of uses for it.The size of the piece is about 20 inches x 24 inches. It comes from a smoke free home. For sale is a B.C. Ric h ASM Zoltan Bathory Signature Series Hard Tail guit ar. This B.C. Rich is in excellent condition with no major scratches. Dents, cracks, or worn fretboard. Guitar is a couple of months old and still has the plastic cover(seals) on the 2 Du ncan Design pickups and back electronics(black) plate cover. Everything on the guitar is stock and feels great in your hands. One thing that's nice about this Zoltan guitar is the neck isn't painted(as you can see in the picture) It has a natural feel so you can glide your hand up and down the neck without any resistance. Guitar does not come with a case being that I never purchased one. But will come in the original factory box. This model has been well taken care of so I still consider this a new guitar. Otherwise, please don't. There's a little seperation between the back and one side that I've sown in the picture and that's a Luthier's job with a clamp and some hide glue. I cannot be responsible for an instrument of this vintage and value. You will get what you pay for and you will be happy because he really is one of a kind. I h av e heard that these features are found on some S haws. But I do not know whether or not this is a Shaw. This is a T-Top. It had a cover on it at one time and there is residual solder.

This sale is for 1 x-ray glass slide. 19 30-40's. Of a very young child who swallowed a top. A tracheotomy was done to clear the airway which is easily seen on the slide. Caught at the bottom portion of the esophagus. It is clearly seen in t he x-ray. This one is especially neat because most of the information is still on the slide. The boys name. The object and the word tracheotomy are legible on the side. Also. F ew of these slides have the name of the doctor(Dr. C F Baker) The side marked(left) and the location(Newark N.J. That makes this one extremely rare! Being in the X-ray profession I have a good knowledge about these items. X-rays were discovered in the 1890's by a man named Roentgen. Pronounced"rankin" He was using a glass vacuum called a Crooke's Tube when he noticed phosphorescent material on the other side ... moreof the room. X being the sign for the unknown he named them x-rays. He was the first recipient of a nobel prize in physics for this invention. His first real x-ray was of his wifes hand. Until the 40's glass x-ray slides like these were used. Because they lose their clarity in light. They are best stored in a dark area for safe keeping. There are only a few. Descent glass x-rays left because of storage issues and improper handling. Before this, over 90% of children who went to surgery would die of these types of operations but because of x-ray, tools were invented to non-evasively remove these foreign object without any surgery. This is an example of an x-ray that saved many children's lives and documented the end of the glass x-ray slide era. Overall this is in great condition for a glass x-ray and is around 70 years old. I just took the cards out BUT I have over 2000 without stickers on them. I also have another 500-750 with stickers on them. Which only means they have prices on them or a small sticker, still not bad make me a offer for all! still have to pay for shipping though.

I beli eve that the Thermometer is working but I'm not sure how well. I was told that the Hygro meter and Barometer do NOT work. T he wood b ase/stand is a dark walnut color. It is sturdy however it needs refinishing. T he varnish is coming off and there are a few rough spots on the wood. The globe/ma p has been used a lot and has a lot of small scuff marks and on it. Also you will find a little tarnishing. Scratches, etc. on the gold colored areas. Approx. 16 1/2" tall(including the s tand) x 9" diameter If you like this see my other items.
