This is a profession grade rotary vacuum pump. I bought this many years ago for servicing the air conditioning in the car that I owned. It was used only about a half dozen times. And was never used in a any kind of professional business. It is in perfect working condition. It easily pumped down an A/C system to about 27/ 28Hg and held it there for the required time with ease. The unit is compact but heavy- weighing about 25 lbs. It has a heavy duty handle which makes carrying and placing the unit easy. The unit is almost silent when running making it perfect in uses other than A/C where vacuum is required. I bought this from an professional A/C tool store. The box has the make ATD Tool Corp in St. Louis. But the vacuum pump has no brand name on it and I no longer have the manual(if it every had one) The unit was stored with both the intake ... moreand exhaust capped to prevent air from entering. Be sure to remove the exhaust cap when using the unit- it is the same color as the metal body. The input fit my standard A/C hose manifold. It does draw quite a bit of power, 400W- 800W if I recall. Very STEADY vacuum. No fluctuation in vacuum even after hours of use. Even though it's rated for 7.5*10^- 4 torr. I was only able to pull 300 microns on my vacuum meter. Perhaps there is an adjustment I missed(didn't mess with the gas ballast settings) but for my application 300 microns was just perfect and the rated vacuum would have been overkill. I only used quality vacuum pump oil Edwards Ultragrade 19. I highly recommend this vacuum for your use, you will not be disappointed. It will come with very difficult to find red rubber hosing.
