Rare Antique Vintage WC Wilcox Crittenden Hand Operated Brass Bilge Pump or Oil
For bid is this used Antique Vintage WC Wilcox Crittenden Hand Operated Brass Bilge Oil Pump boating. I do not know what this is actually used for except I know its a Brass Hand Pump made by WC/ Wilcox Crittenden. I have looked a few times on Ebay and have not seen this one with the 9" metal flex hose with brass tip. I have only seen the hand bilge pumps. As you see in the picture 6 it is marked. WC. In picture 1 you can see the pump with the metal flex hose turned to the left, it can be straight or turned where you need it, picture 5 shows the metal hose closer. Picture 2 shows the lower section apart, it screws together. This is about 26 3/4" long(with tube straight) with the pump handle pulled out it would be about 35 3/4" long. As you see in the pictures I did polish the brass and looks good. It does have some scuf/scratches(hard ... moreto see being polished) This would be good for maybe use, the collector or for display. I have had this Graco/Quarts Barrel Lube Oil Hand Pump for over 20 years and it was used monthly with gear lube for semi truck axle's by me on my old semi truck for very long time. and was used by my dad before that and my grandma before that. It had its days and its still ready for another 20 years of service. It was in working condition when i took it apart so i can store it and ship it easyer. The model number is: 204872 and serial number is: 5 AG" This oil barrel lube pump has been used over the last 20+ years with no problems. The crome has some surface rust that can easily be cleaned up. The red deck has paint wear and tear but isn't showing rust. Its clean with NO rust in the inside due to having gear lube in it for very long time. Handle is showing some wear and tear from me pumping it all the time. At the top is a small spigot on the pump; it was used to dispense kerosene into small throated containers such as vinegar jugs or whatever the consumer had to carry it home in. I think there is a missing part that goes up to the spout. The whole pump is pretty rusty and the crank needs to be freed up. This would would also be a great decor item for Gas Stations.
