This FMI pump is coming from a retired chemist's lab. The pump shows very light signs of use- really. Just about the only indication that it's even used is the power cord is discolored. It comes with the RH adjustable head installed, plus an extra head that has the text"R405E" cast into the body. This extra head shows some damage and will most likely need to be repaired if you decide to put it into service. The pump itself, however, is in good shape. I have plugged it in and verified that it works, but that is the only sort of testing I'm able to do. I will guarantee only that it will not arrive DOA. Here's some sort of high tech piece of industrial testing? Metering? monitoring? equipment. I honestly don't know what it is or what it does. I was told by the flea market seller I bought this from that it is from the Bendix Corp. Probably need to be a highly skilled electronic technician to get this back to doing whatever it does. Those of you that are considering building your own mock-up science fiction lab complete with vaporing beakers and walls of flashing lights with dials, switches and meters might find this piece useful. When i drained the oil it seemed cloudy and milky like there had been water in the oil.When i purchased this at a surplus sale it was outside and raining and the filler cap had been off to the side and partly exposed the opening to the weather.it may have goton water in that way or it could be that the seal in pump is leaking? or something else that only just needed a flush and oil change?
