This is a Texas Instruments multifunction board. Assembly number 2245875-0001, for the Texas Instruments Professional Computer(TIPC) and Texas Instruments Portable Professional Computer(TIPPC) It's a full-size option board with 256K bytes of factory-installed RAM that will bring the total system RAM to 512K bytes. It also includes a real-time clock/calendar with battery backup, a socket that accepts a 4K byte or 8K byte ROM or EPROM, and a socket that accepts a 256 byte PROM. The multifunction board includes connectors for the following three optional smaller-size boards that attach to it. These boards are NOT included in this auction: 1/2-size 256K expansion RAM board that brings total system RAM to 768K. No chips or cracks or damage of any kind to the case or screen or keys, although it could use a light dusting. It is olive green in color. When I bought it there were some old rechargeable batteries in the compartment and as a result they left behind some residue. I did not want to try and clean it- please see the pic of the battery compartment. It was not too bad, as it worked fine once I put in regular batteries. Lot of 3 Speak & Spell & Read & Math (box) Texas Instruments for parts or repair
Up for your consideration is a lot of 3x 1970s/80s Texas Instruments Educational toys. They are in fairly good shape for their age. But have some issues(see below for details) They have scratches and marks from use(see in pictures) All 3 come with the battery cover. They will need some cleaning and or repair. Would be a great lot for someone doing mod projects or to relive childhood memories. Selling the lot AS-IS. Lot includes- Speak& Spell with battery cover in good shape. DOES NOT WORK! Has battery corrosion on the contacts. Speak& Read with battery cover in fair shape. Tested and seems to be working fine. Played a few of the games on it and had no issues. Has what looks like drips of dried glue on the top and across the back. Speak& Math with battery cover in fair shape. Also has the original box(poor shape) and manual(good ... moreshape) Has lots of scratches/marks on the unit and a chunk of plastic out of the speaker grill(see in pictures) Needs a good cleaning. Tested and seems to be working fine. Played a few of the games on it and had no issues. Lot mails USPS in a medium flat rate box with delivery confirmation. Again- I have not cleaned these units. The Speak& Read. And Speak& Math have been boot tested for functionality, and seem to work OK. The Speak& Spell is DEAD and has corrosion on the battery contacts- See pictures for details.
