Vintage Voice of Music Phonograph Tube Amplifier Record Player Harmonica Harp
Up for your consideration is a vintage Voice of Music model 156 tube amplified phonograph complete with a built in microphone input. I have tested both the record player and the microphone and they are in working condition. The speed adjustment. And volume controls are all working, but with lots of static, so I presume require a thorough cleaning. As you can see from the pictures, this record player has a very retro look to it with its metal grey background with gold accents and red knobs. The amplifier is rated at 105-125 volts or 55 Watts. And the tubes are rated at 60 cycles. Please refer to the picture of the tag found on the door of the compartment that holds the speaker and microphone wires. The top has two small speakers in it, one which is approximately six inches across and the microphone speaker that is approximately 3 inches across. ... moreAs you are likely aware, the top clips off so the speakers can be set up however you wish and the record player unit has two input jacks, one for each speaker application. The record player has two volume controls, and one tone control. The record player has three speeds and an on/off/rej control. very handsome console- bought from original owner- this was used by an old spinster church woman- it could have never been abused except out of stupidity.which happens- but by that i mean as far as the amp goes.it is all original with the original tubes- everything works but the turntable- i dont know what the two knobs on the console do- volume and tone. when i turn it on and run my thumb over the needle i get sound. if you put a record you dont want on it you can get the tonearm to rest quickly enough to get sound.but nothing audiophile. pictures really makes it look more dumpy than it is- the cloth over the speaker should go and with some cleaning and oil i wasnt going to ever consider refinishing it. there is a neat lift up panel to put stuff in- records i assume- i found a few old cassettes- one was"the holy bible.aloud. the reel ... moredeal" like i said. This thing was probably not jammed that often: looks like a 12inch speaker and a tweeter the little amp is all original tubes and glows nicely.which is why i wanted it to begin with.i wanted the amp. but since i know nothing i was quick to be informed i probably had a mono amp and would need a match- theoretically. i was going to bi-amp a large pair of bozak speakers. then i thought i would replace the original speakers and replace the turntable and then have my own console- i wanted to use bozak components- and when i found out i didnt have the cubic feet for the enclosure for the infinite baffle bozak driver B199a- i decided to drop it altogether. if you must have just the components.i will remove them.reluctantly. just as soon as i listed this.seems like i see a great replacement ttable also just listed. im changing this to a buy it now- payment within ebay guidelines- no hurry on the pickup- it can sit as long as it is paid for. located in zip 76209.
