There is some discoloration/ splotchiness along the top ~12" of the screen and down the right side. It appears to be mildew. If you use the zoom function with the first picture you can see it. It is visible when an image is projected on the screen. But not highly distracting. Of course opinions will vary, but I found it to be usable. I don't know if it can be cleaned or renovated in some way. The screen has a yellowish tone, which I believe is original. The Versatol is a portable tripod type screen. Legs are gable constructed of 18 gauge steel. Equipped with plastic shoes and attached to the upright by a one-piece hooded steel leg bracket. An automatic leg lock fastens all three legs and is released by a push-button near the top of the upright tube. The upright tube and extension tube are of plated square welded seam steel. It features an adjustable steel case finished in black powder coat and fitted with end caps concealing roller ends with an integral nylon bearing surface to support the roller. Positive stops in all positions of the extension tube are provided via plunger lock. The top edge of the fabric is mounted securely into a powder coated tubular steel slat. Da-Lite Presentation Projection Screen 6x8 w/9x12 Wing Arms and Drapes Extras
Offering this Da-Lite presentation or projection screen. This is a professional business grade screen often used at shows. Seminars demonstrations etc, but you already know that. I assembled it as shown, in my yard, so please forgive the lack of, well, presentation. The projection screen is 6x8 as shown. But the stand seems large enough to accommodate a larger screen frame. In addition, there are the left and right wing arms, and curtains, or drapery. These are marked 9x12. I couldn't figure out how the wing arms mount onto the stand or frame, so couldn't display with the drapes properly mounted on the sides or the bottom. They don't look very flattering hanging there, I know, but they are in good shape with no tears that I could see. There are snaps in them that seem to match the snaps on the wing arms. All parts look to be in ... morepretty good shape. However, one of the wing arms has a rivet that looks to have been cut or filed, as there are file/cut marks on the surrounding metal stock. The wing arm still opens and closes as the other one does, and its simple enough to replace a rivet if need be. Also, there are 5 of the crank-type bolts. I believe there were originally 6. These appear to be standard 5/16" bolts, just bent to the crank shape for faster on/off. You can get another bent one from Da-Lite or just use a regular bolt with a wrench or socket, or maybe even just set it up with 5 of the 6 as I did. Even though I couldn't figure out how to attach the wing arms, it occurs to me that it is possible the drapes and wing arms are not original to this set, even though everything fits into the Da-Lite wheeled hard travel case. As such, This is sold as a 6x8 screen set up with the other parts included as extras only. This is large, and heavy and I don't know how I would ship this. Cinefold Portable Projection Screen by Draper is in Very good condition. Assembled screen size is approximately 72 1/4" tall x 96 1/2" wide. The total height with the T-legs is 116" tall. The T-legs are 61 1/2" wide. There are a few very minor wear marks on the screen that do not effect the usability. Some minor scratches on the metal that do not effect the usability. The 6 original crankbolts are missing and have been replaced by 4 bolts that are used in the assembly of the screen that you see in the photos. If you prefer the standard crankbolts- part number 219004-I believe they can be ordered. But the bolts work fine) It comes in an"On Stage Stands" zippered carrying case that is 47" x 10" x 8" tall. It was used in our church and looked great when put in storage last fall. It now has stains as seen in the photos.
