Vintage Rare Apple Macintosh Portable M5120-boots to "Sad Mac" screen only
This Mac Portable was in working order when I put it away in storage 10 years ago. Now it will only boot up to the"Sad Mac" I believe it probably needs to be re-capped. I checked the circuit board and there is obvious leakage around the surface mounted caps. I do not have the soldering skills to attempt to replace these. I do not want to damage the board. The 40 MB Conner drive spins up and the display screen seems to be in good condition. I would like to see this go to someone who has the skills to put in back in working order. The original Apple case is included in good condition with all 4 rubber feet still attached. The battery pack top has been opened to rebuild the battery but the cells are no longer good, so it will need another rebuild-The original batteries are included so the gold contacts can be re-used. It comes with a remote( I do not know if the battery is still working) 2 screens, all the connection cable, 2 Sony headsets and a carrying bag. The DVD player is 9,5 inches long and 6,5 inches wide. The screens are 8 inches long and 5,5 inches wide. The actual screen size is 4 inches long and 2 1/4 inches wide. The connection cables are 2 screen cables that are running from the DVD player to the screen unit and 1 car power adapter. So it DOES NOT use batteries. A good thing: The carrying bag did not come originally with the DVD player but it works great as a storage unit. I tested the DVD player and it works perfectly.
