This is an amazing hard bound book prepared by the editoral staff of Ford Dealer& Service Magazine. Laboratory Tests For Ford Cars" Copyright 1938. The book was to help Ford and Lincoln-Zypher mechanics use the Heyer and Westinghouse Test Sets. It contains 80 pages covering diagnosis and repair of pretty much all electrical issues. It contains over 35 pages of pictures and drawings. Most of which are full page. There is a 14 page section on use of the Stroboscope. Condition is very good, but there are a lot of brown moisture spots. None of them are very bad. Cover and binding are very nice.

US Electrical Motors. 5hp, 3 phase, 1735 RPM, enclosed DP, thermally protected. This motor is the type used in A/C. Freezer, food service type use. These units came off of extreme low hour CRAC units that the IRS purchased in 1995. Had placed in a big room in Ogden Utah and then never used. The room never had a computer placed in it and the units only had cursory use of around 2.000 hours. These motors had been inside. Are in perfect condition and absolutely work perfectly. I purchased the 10 CRACs and tried to sell as entire units. But ended up scraping the bulk and saved this and other parts of extreme value. See pictures for other details. This is a steal of a purchase if you need a similar motor. Comes with double pulley. I have 5 each of this brand and 5 Marathon motors.

There is a rather stiff felt pad on the base. Which doesn't allow me to view the bottom side connections. There is a crack in the wood base on the short side of the coil. Which is also missing its exterior wrap. The one screw securing ... morethe upper brush assembly is a replacement. The on/off switch operates correctly. All I had was a 1-amp. 6-volt motorcycle battery charger to test the operation. The armature struggled, but it did rotate. I don't know the specs. But a note that came with it(dated 1961) simply said"6 to 12 volts" I looked very hard, but did not uncover any patent dates. On final inspection, to me, the knob on the control switch is suspect. Here is a vintage or antique motor that is by Federal Sign System. Today it is known as Federal Signal System. They made sirens. Police sirens, fire alarms, outdoor lighting, sirens to warn Londoners of incoming air raids and the like. I don't know what this was used for but it has a chain. And it has the F with a lightening bolt which I believe was under the name Thunderbolt. It looks in good but used shape. I have no way to test it or even know what it was for. It only has what looks like a little surface rust on the two wheel like things. Otherwise I think it looks good. The info is hard to read. It needs to be cleaned up. The brace or mount is homemade. Wooden with a metal strap. It fits pretty snug, one could clamp it to the edge of a table. Thermo King Electrical Motor 460V 3 Phase 0.5 HP 1140 RPM
Pulled from benchstock from a shipyard maintenance facility. I believe this motor is for reefer units on refrigerated containers. Overall length 10.5 in. Shaft is 7/8 in diameter with a 3/16 in keyway and about a 3/8"flat spot" ground down I suppose for a specific application. The shaft extends about 2.5 in from the body of the motor. Also the outer bolt hole slots are 5 in apart. Height is about 8 in to the top of the connection box. At the bottom left corner of the label: Reliance Electric Industrial Company and the number 613317-25-ME. I don't have the Thermo King part number for this motor. And don't have the time to try and educate myself about all the other numbers on the label. Hopefully, from the pictures and description you will be able to determine if this is the correct unit for your application.

Cloth covered wire coil on a solid wood coil form 4-3/4" X 1-1/4" some tight cracks in wood) That sits on an adjustable tripod with center chrome shaft, stands just over 13" tall. No idea as to use except is for some kind of magnetic/ motor/ electrical demonstration or experiment. In very nice shape, the chrome really shines, but note that one of the screws in binding post has been bent and broken, I glued back together so you know what originally was here.

Antique Motor Early Example of Open Cast Iron Electrical Motor
This is an early cast iron electric motor. It appears to be from the Victorian era. It measures at the base approximately 4"x5" I have no way of testing this but the flywheel does spin freely. It has some sort of switch mechanism on the one side. On the side is two terminals where I believe you hook up electric. It could use a good cleaning. The base is painted red with gold painted legs. There is some wear to the paint as can be seen in photos. This is a really interesting piece. It is an early open example of an electrical motor. Please have this serviced by an experienced technician as it can operate at high voltages. All items are sold as is with no returns. Email through Ebay with any questions.
