I never had a system problem after installing this with one exception. A parallel port laser printer clobbered a motherboard port since it was not protected from line transients. Using networked Laser printer resolved this avenue of attack. Warning. These are notoriously noisy with a buzzing sound(transformer laminations) I kept mine in a closet. I remember hearing that there are remedies for the buzz but I never needed it. This is used and long from the time it was new so no guarantees about future behavior. Working perfectly right now. I received a"the wait is over" email on April 12, 2012. I took delivery on April 25, 2012. Other than a couple of plug-ins at home, it has been sitting in its box every since. It looks and sounds like rock and roll: From D*A*M website: The Sola Sound Tone Bender Professional MKII. This pedal is not a replica of a Sola Sound Tone Bender it is a Sola Sound Tone Bender. The real deal. The genuine article, thee dog bollocks. First produced by Sola Sound back in 1966 and now produced by D*A*M for Sola Sound. These pedals will stand shoulder to shoulder in every aspect to those highly prized vintage units. From the'unbreakable' British made enclosure ... moreto the internal wiring and parts selection the foremost decision made on all of those aspects is quality. For me personally its the culmination of approx 6 + years research on the original Sola Sound Pro MKII's. When I made the first few D*A*M replicas back in 2004 my end goal was to eventually make a real version in a sand cast enclosure like the originals. It's pretty trippy to actually be doing just that and to be making them for Sola Sound. Home of the Tone Bender for over 45 years. What's inside? The build style is as you'd find in an original Sola Sound MKII. The wiring is a tad looser than I would normally do but there is lot of space in these cases and the thing I am aiming for here is authenticity. The Mullard OC84's are really an ideal candidate for the MKII circuit. They give the best of both worlds. They give the lowest gain possible. Aside form the old Impex devices, with the Attack set fully off and easily as much gain as a good set of OC75's but with a hair less noise when maxed out. Both Anthony and Stave Macari were keen to have a pedal reflective of where they are at now and whist the MKII is quite obviously a fuzz box of things

Hi. For sale is a like new Pigdog Loony II Prototype. This is Pigdog's modified take on the Tone Bender MKI. It features three original Mullard OC75 transistors and the best in vintage and modern components and hardware. There are a couple of small flaws in the finish that were there when it was sold originally. Otherwise the pedal is mint. It comes with the original box and unattached rubber feet. This is a rare one off pedal and is an incredible take on the MKI. In my opinion it is an improvement over the traditional circuit, though the changes are minor. The sustain is glorious, the fuzz character is smooth yet crunches still, and there is a lot of range in tone depending on how you use your guitar volume and set the pedals output. The heart and soul is MKI Tone Bender with some changes to the circuit. I am pleased with the results which give a typical MKI fuzz sound without gating or chop sometimes associated with the circuit. The attack dial/bias is a little more effective here than in the standard circuit and the pedal gives a good crisp sustain with lots of harmonic overtones. Three OC75's are used and mounted on tag-board along with parts from Wima. Phillips, Suflex etc. Jacks and switch are from Cliff and Carling. 9volt battery power only. The battery will last for many hours before a replacement is needed. The case is professionally powdercoated and screenprinted. This is the only one like this.
