The charm weighs 3.93 grams and is not marked. But acid tests as 14k gold. I did not test the jump ring. It measures 1 1/8" by 5/8" and is engraved P. G. J. 178. There are no maker's hallmarks. Lambda Iota Sigma is an honorary professional society that was founded in 1927. So I am guessing that 178 refers to the member number, which would make it a fairly early key charm.
