4QD 48V/300A four-quadrant DC motor controller - needs repair
This is a 48Vdc motor controller with a peak of 300A. With 4 quadrant control(forward, reverse, regenerative braking in both) it was installed in a vehicle exposed to the elements for several years, and while it worked before, it gave only a brief spurt of power before stopping when I tried it recently. There was no magic smoke released, and the defects you see in the pictures(wire instead of a 1A fuse, break to one of the ground traces, holes drilled in the cooling plate) were already there when it was first installed, and it never had much power applied even after that. I am hoping someone with a little electronic background buys this and can trace down the fault- it may not be simple due to the conformal coating they use. If you want a controller that has"let ... moreout the magic smoke" I have a 72V Alltrax that did this when it was given full power without precharge.
