I actually purchased 3 of them) was sold via auction by the original owners the La Mesa Police Department and have been checked out and serviced by a professional who has been servicing these units since their release. He cleaned the heads and scoped the envelope on each unit and said it was right where it should be and that all three units were pristine with very little wear on the heads. He also stated the condition of the rubber on the pinch rollers indicated very little use. The unit was used in various sting operations in a city with the population of roughly 57,000 and a very low crime rate. The department had four identical set-ups which they rotated to insure maximum service from all four units. This particular unit model# TT-BRR-24, S/N 25819 was designed and constructed for covert surveillance by"Tron-Tek Inc, They ... moreare still in business. The unit can be powered by both AC(wall outlet) and 12V DC(car battery)your choice by flipping a switch and plugging the cigarette lighter adapter plug that comes with the unit into a cars cigarette lighter jack. I will sell the Sony GV-A500 W/O the briefcase but you will have to get your own power supply. They are about $15 on ebay.
