You are viewing a strapping head taken from a nice example of an Ovalstrap model 515. Everything in the machine appeared fine and the unit seemed to have a low cycle count. All of the parts listed have the appearance of little wear but the PC board had gone bad. The main motor would run. The accumulator motor would fill the accumulator when the sensor flag was pulled up, the heater reached operating temperature but the machine would not cycle when the"strapping" button is pushed. The head would cycle when the solenoid plunger that activates the head was manually pulled and the head would go through the strapping cycle smoothly. The only problem was the PC board refusing to activate the components. These parts are used and no warranty is offered. Just that they are guaranteed to work when you receive them.

This beautiful Japanese box was used to store calligraphy and related materials. Thus the ink stained interiors. It has iron reinforcing strapping on the corners and sides. With iron hinges and locks. There are T straps around the drawers. There is an iron handle on top. The top is released by pressing the latch on the front. There are three iron hinges which work fine. The wood in some areas is worm holed and slightly damaged due to age, but the box is still sturdy. The iron handle carries it easily. 4 or 5 of the iron reinforcement straps on the corners are missing, not sure how many there were originally. The bottom of the box is made from six planks. Which are mortised through and show as a dark line near the base. There are three drawers. One has a lock, no key. Two have original pulls. The bottom drawer has markings on the underside. ... moreIts handle is held on by two small square nails, which are clenched. Each drawer is the full length of the box. The top of the box has the remains of a paper label pasted inside, with calligraphy. There is a lot to look at with this box. Please examine our photos closely, they are an important part of the description. The box was purchased in Japan by a relative who was in the U.S. Navy at the time. And shipped home in 1978-1980. The dealer who sold it to her said it dated to the late Edo era, 1850-1860. The box measures about 10 3/4” long by 6 3/4” wide. And is about 7 5/8” tall. The 10 point strap system is a favorite among EMS professionals know for their ease of use ability to cut down the time it takes to extricate and immobilize patients.
