In over forty years of camping and backpacking this is the strongest. Best made, most versatile and most unusual pack I have ever seen. It holds 4500 cubic inches inside and has plenty of ways to strap more gear onto it. These packs are in GREAT shape. Government surplus listed them in condition A4. Some photos were taken before I got the hip belts. A hip belt is included and will be attached to your pack when it arrives. The hip belts are size medium. Which will fit most people. The back is very well padded. The sternum strap can be moved up or down. The hip belt& shoulder straps have extra padding and quick releases. There is a removable shelf and zippers on each side to access stuff at the bottom. You can have one very large compartment or two separate ones. There are handles on the sides to it like a suitcase or put it on over your ... morehead(if you can lift it that high) The frame is four long pieces of metal(aluminum. I think) and a composite piece. they work VERY well together. There is a flap on the back that you can use to hold things or snap out of the way and have more places to attach other gear. Classic Vintage Lowe Alpine Klettersack daypack. Blue with leather lash tabs. Overall in good. Serviceable condition with lots of character. There are no holes, frays, or rips in the nylon or straps, and all seams are tight and strong. Lid zipper opens and closes smoothly and securely. Typical of a vintage daily-use pack, there are some smudges, discolorations, fading, and minor stains as shown in the pic. I have hand washed the pack but not attempted any hardcore stain removal. The pack does not have that strong unpleasant"vintage pack" odor caused by the degradation of the polyurethane coating into uric acid. Measures approximately: 19" high x 10" wide x 8" deep. That makes it about 1520 cubic inches/25 liters. As shown in the photos. One lid buckle and the sternum strap buckle have small cracks in them(not missing ... moreany plastic) that I glued long ago and both have been fine. Classic Vintage Wilderness Experience daypack. Made in Orange/Rust with leather lash tabs. Overall in good. Serviceable condition with lots of character. There are no holes, frays, or rips in the nylon or straps, and all seams are tight and strong. All plastic buckles and hardware is intact and solid. Lid zipper opens and closes smoothly and securely. Leather tabs are strong and healthy, not dried out and cracked. Typical of a vintage daily-use pack, there are some smudges, discolorations, fading, and minor stains as shown in the pic. I have hand washed the pack but not attempted any hardcore stain removal. The pack does not have that strong unpleasant"vintage pack" odor caused by the degradation of the polyurethane coating into uric acid. Item is from a no-pets. No-smoking home.
