This is a very good condition Better Packages Tapeshooter model 100 gummed paper tape dispenser. The water tray has no cracks. Removes as it should and the brushes are good. Only small amount of rust on the body. The front of the casting on the right side of the water holder has some of the metal missing from rust and this can be seen in the photos. It is still solid. The bottom of the tape pressure plate has some discoloration but it is still smooth and the tape wets evenly and completely. The blade mechanism shows surface rust but cuts reinforced paper tape cleanly. Both metal tape width guides are present in the back of the machine and are in good condition. The plastic knob on the tape length adjustment was replaced with a wing nut and rubber washer. Very nice lightly used 555ES up for offers. Or just buy it now. I disassembled the unit to clean and check all functions of this unit. It has a new brush. The chain drive has been inspected for proper tension and lubed. All of the tape particles and dust(from use) has been cleaned and removed. The blade and cleaner felt has been oiled properly. All of the size buttons work properly. As do the repeat and remaining buttons. It has the water bottle. Water tray, new brush and power cord. The heater top has very minimal cut marks and heats up perfectly. Normally they have numerous deep cut marks from untrained users. In some of the pics it shows it disasembled but that was when I was refurbing it. It is fully assembled now and funtions perfectly. Hello eBayland! Up on the block is our old Better pack 555S tape machine. It has seen quite a few boxes in it's day but it does still work. It does need a new transport cam pinch roller(pictured) as these turn to goo after several years. The heater quit working long ago and it is just dirty. It is 95% complete and it does transport the tape and it will cut it clean if you simulate the roller tape-length cam operation and de-activate the plunger switch that you have pushed down. It does not have the colored rubber button covers. All of the plunger switches are intact. the collars on these usually break off but these are all good. Everything functions. It just needs TLC to make it fully operational once again or a good parts unit. I am selling it"As IS" as a"Parts Only" unit and is NOT returnable.
