Campagnolo. The most iconic name in cycling history. Back in the 1970's as Campagnolo was establishing a presence in the USA they would ship crates of componentry across the ocean from Vicenza. Italy to their USA office in Houston, Texas. These crates would come strapped with steel bands and every band was crimp sealed from the Campagnolo factory with special Campagnolo embossed seals. For years these steel straps hit the trash. I was recently cleaning out a box that had relocated from the Houston Campagnolo office and I found two of these straps(I am auctioning off one of them) I don't know who had the forethought to realize that these were pretty special pieces of Campagnolo history but I have never seen one prior to coming across these and I seriously doubt that I will ever see another. Walnut Box with Brass Strapping& Accents including Key Escutcheon(No Key) This beautiful box is 11 1/4" long x 4 1/4" tall x 4 1/4" deep(sizes approx. I think the box is from the period 1910 to 1920. There are dividers inside the box and I don't know what it's original purpose was for. There is a brass pin on the right hand side that must be lifted or removed to allow the drawer in the base to slide out. Not really hidden but locks. I don't know if this was the original"knob" on the little drawer or not. But it is as I found it. There is a 3" crack running lengthwise on the base. There was a stamp on the base at one time but it is no longer legible. The last photo shows what is still there and I used a flash to try to bring it up. It would pull and cut the strapping every time but it only melted the ends together a few times. STRAPACK RQ-8 POWER STRAPPING MACHINE- USED This is a used Strapack RQ-8 automatic strapping machine. Arch size is 25" wide by 19.5" high. This machine is currently setup for 3/8" strapping but can be easily converted to run 1/2" strapping. For an additional charge we can convert to 5mm or 1/4" strap(some replacement parts required) Unit is set up for 120 volt single phase. This unit is in good condition.
