RARE SCOTCHBAND MODEL 279 SWISS MADE 1/2" STEEL BANDING/ STRAPPING TOOL This is a rare ScotchBand steel banding tool. Made in Switzerland. It is extremely well made with precision components and in excellent condition. We believe that this a manual seal-feed tool that both tensions and straps. The bottom lever(tensioner) ratchets as it should when the grip lever is squeezed and the top lever makes the motion for feeding and sealing. This tool indicates that it can take 1/2" straps. This is definitely a quality combo strapping tool and on the rare occasion you can find them. They retail for over $1,200!

The larger crimping tool is also in very good used condition, has had some use, measures 14 1/4 inches long. The working area seems to be 1/2 inch. You are viewing a nice example of the Mosca ROMP-4 automatic strapping machine with a 800mm x 600mm(31.5" x 23.6" tall) arch size. This unit will strap all sizes of mail trays. Boxes and just about anything that will fit in the arch. The soft-touch button turns off the hard tension motor and allows the strap to lightly strap small bundles of flats or envelopes. The unit is set for 5mm or 6mm strapping in either white or clear/embossed strapping. This machine would also work well for the corrugated industry for offline and spot work. It will strap down to a bundle that is the size of the slide plate or around the size of a man's wallet. The machine has been completely cleaned and the paint is in excellent condition.
