Used 5/8 signode steel banding tool. Bought at an estate sale. Seems to work fine. This is the kind of tool that does not need crimps. It pushes the steel right though itself to hold. It is dirty and shows signs of hard use. It pushed the steel right though and sealed the band but was sticky on the release but some wd-40 freed it right up. This is a combination GERRARD tensioner and crimper. Wheel type tensioner. Model: 2308. Size: 1/2" Handles strap 1/2" wide. I tryed it around a piece of plywood. Tightened it easy and to the point of indenting the wood. The grippers are sharp and in good condition. There is only one crimp on clip which I will ship with unit so you have an original. I tested the crimper with a Signode clip which I had to grind shorter to fit the holder slot. It takes stacks of clips which are automatically pushed on the band/strap for crimping. Does a double crimp. Not sure if it can be seen in picture. The clip size is: 7/8" X 1/4" 2-legs) X 11/16" at point were legs flare out) Hole is probably for a wire holder for shipping purposes from factory. Mics at.021" thickness. Tool is in good condition.
