Forty years away from being an antique. Carlson& Sullivan Inc. Monrovia. California; Made in U.S.A. Patent pending when sold in 1954. The tape measure is approximately 2" x 2" and about 1/2" wide. It measures length and circumference(flexible metal)tape. Again it is approximately sixty years old. Also. As stated, it was made in U.S.A. This belonged to my grandfather(an International Harvester employee) who may have been part of the patent. Unfortunately. While measuring the length and/or circumference of a package, he had a heart attack and died. I never learned what the size of"the package" was. The power supply allows the controller to operate without being connected to a Dyna machine. Therefore you can do off-line programming without standing at the machine. The cassette drive is for storing CNC programs. I do not have a microcassette. So i can not test the tape drive. It also has a RS232 port for uploading and downloading programs from a PC. The power supply and tape drive power up just fine. I connected a dyna controller. And it powers the dyna controller just fine. Vintage Stanley No. 68 Folding Ruler and Dietzgen/Lufkin 100' Tape Measure
Up for bid are two measuring devices. Please look over the pictures as you will recieve what is pictured. First is the Stanley No. 68 folding ruler. Ruler is 6" long when folded. But hinges in two different fashions to become a 24" ruler. Made by Stanley Rule& Level Co. New Britain, Conn. Nice old vintage item. Second is a leather bound 100' tape measure. On the leather exterior reads"Eugene Dietzgen Co. Chicago New York" with the other side reading"Dietzgen Major Steel Tape 100 FT" When you pull the tape out. The tape reads"Lufkin Rule Co" with"Instantaneous" on the back of the tape. I haven't pulled the tape out past the 3' point, but the tape pulls out easy. The center pops out easily to be able to rewind the tape. It has a nice two part mechanism to allow a larger diameter ... morewhen you rewind the tape in. The exterior of this tape measure does have wear on all edges, along with some cut marks in the leather. There is also some fraying of the binding around the edges. It definetly has been used. ANTIQUE WOOD & BRASS LEVEL, 2 BUBBLES PLUS 20 METER METAL WINDING TAPE MEASURE
2 antique tools from Europe: wood and brass level. And metal roll-up tape measure. The level has brass fittings around the two level bubbles. Each bubble, to level both vertically and horizontally, work perfectly. Body of the level is wood, with Japan stamped on the bottom. The tape measure is all metal, with measurements in centimeters. It measures 20 meters total. To use this you pull out the tape, and wind it back up with the hand-crank when done. Everything works perfectly on this: the tape pulls out smoothly and holds in place, the hand crank operates smoothly and firmly to wind the tape back up. The case is 10 cm(about 4" in diameter. The tape itself is 1 cm wide.

Very Early Antique Dress Makers Measuring Tape Hand Carved Ivory Bone Silk This is a very old and quite unusual dress makers measuring tape. Although it looks to be French in its construction. The fact that it is a yard measure suggests that it may be early American. It is either bone or ivory and the body of the canister appears to be older than the top which makes me think it might be a marriage. But the spool and body are very old as is the tape itself. I have never seen a numbering sequence quite like the one on this silk tape. Its end notation is 1 yd but it is not a true yard, more like 35" And the measurement at the beginning of the tape is pretty baffling. From tip to base the container and spool measure 1.5"so miniature. The numbering system suggests this is a 17th or 18th century tape but I am not an expert on this items ... moreso please examine the extensive set of photos to make your determination. Serious downsizing means that this and many other wonderful items must go so check out my other auctions for outstanding buys.
