Here's a used vintage Yale or Yale-Towne chainfall or hoist we received recently with some garage or workshop tool items. This one is a 1/2 ton spur gear type. We hooked it up to operate the chain and and the hoist seems to be operating properly. The hook at the top allows the hoist or chainfall to swivel 360 degrees as one would expect. This is a handy garage. Farm or barn tool for occasional heavy lifting requirement. It could use a little cleanup and some grease in the grease fitting would probably be a good idea but seems to be in good mechanical condition overall. We did notice some wear to the inside surface of the chain guide or guard piece caused when someone stands off center to the hoise then pulls the chain so that it rubs on the guide. The guide is still in structurally sound condition in this area but did want to mention ... moreit and show this area in the pictures. This is a hefty hoist that will weigh about 75 lbs when packed for shipping. It will be over the USPS limit so we'll be using UPS ground for the shipping service.
