Antique Clayton & Lambert Soldering Iron Heater
This is a very old Clayton& Lambert Coil Heater which I believe was used to heat the old time brass soldering irons. No date on this unit to tell its age. On the top it reads"Clayton& Lambert MFG Co C& L Coil Detroit Mich" This is a big unit standing 23" tall to top of handle and 9" base. The heat shield around the coil is light tin& is rusting thru in places. It has a drip cup to catch the excess solder. This has seen a lot of use and it looks like it was soldered in different places. The light brown you see on the main base is water stain or very light surface rust. This has been out in the weather for who knows how long and the valves are stuck right now. Would still make a very good collector item.

Not a hundred percent if its hexicon. I found lots of irons that look similar to this so I'm assuming is the same brand. There's no markings or hallmarks only soldering iron. The soldering iron is in working condition. The soldering iron has a large screwdriver shaped soldering iron tip. The cloth chord has some wear places in it. Thermo-Gas“STAYHOT” Model“A” Blowtorch– This alcohol-fuel. Combination self-heated soldering iron(SHSI) and blowtorch, was manufactured by the Thermo-Gas Products Co. Inc. of Brooklyn, New York. The torch is 11 inches in length with its wooden base being 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The tank, enclosed within the wooded handle, and the burner appear to be bronze. The soldering tip is copper. The tank is filled by removing the threaded wooden base and then unscrewing the brass end cap. The torch(in a vertical position) was ignited by adding a small amount of alcohol to the cone-shaped cup on top of the handle. The resulting heat generated pressure in the tank, forcing a flame up the burner to the soldering tip. PAT PEND” is stamped onto the side of the cup. The patent no. 1,461,658, filed December 6, 1921 and issued on July 10, 1923, applies to ... morethis torch. Up for sale is a used Hakko 703B soldering station with one used Hakko 907 soldering iron. I am also including one new tip for the soldering iron a T18-C2. This station has three separate channels that let the user simultaneously use three separate hand pieces such as three soldering irons or two soldering irons and one desoldering iron. I have replaced the filter underneath the vacuum cap with a new filter. The temperature of the unit's channels have not been calibrated and have only been tested at three separate points(520 F. 700 F, and 800 F) to see that the solder melted faster/slower on a through hole board. The desoldering iron was tested at 700 F and extracted solder as expected. The filter inside the desoldering iron has been emptied of solder, but not replaced. The reason for the sale is that I have 3 and only really need 1 so the other 2 are on the way out. If you need any information over this item please ask. Will not ship international only on the US. Also the heating element was $80 so this means you will get a great unit for a great price.
