And when everything was properly connected they proceeded to power the unit on. When powered, they were able to utilize the"FORWARD" and"AWAY" button to make the hydraulic mechanics move back and forth. However, when they pressed the"SQUEEGEE" button there was no movement. There was definitely communication between the controller and the machine when the"SQUEEGEE" button was pressed since you could hear a clicking sound from the mechanism. Due to usage wear, the seal between the hoses and ports were not tight so our technician had to apply some tape. Please see photos below for detail. The representative video below demonstrates both the forward/ backward movement as well the up/ down movement(we were unable to replicate the up/down movement on this unit) We have no reason to believe this item is not working however its functioning status is unknown; we are unable to test the item due to our lack of knowledge and lack of proper equipment for testing. Vintage PRESCO Thick Film Hybrid Ceramic Screen Printer 3"x3"
This is a manual Presco screen printer for printing hybrid circuits on ceramic substrates. Squeegie size is 3" and it appears to have a vacuum stage that is 3x3. It includes the control box with the required air solenoids. The unit has been in storage for at least 20 years so the air lines are a bit brittle. But we connected it to air and the actuators and air cylinders appear to work fine. It was stored in an enlosed space and was not exposed to moisture so there is no serious rust. We were not able to test all functions, but this is a well built, robust printer that could last forever with the proper maintenance. It needs a good cleaning and lubrication. A squeegie and new airlines and it should be ready to go. The unit with controller box weighs approx 100 lbs and might be best shipped freight on a pallet.
