Rare Made in Switzerland Paiste 22" T20 Prototype Ride Cymbal. This is one of the nicest. If not the nicest, ride cymbal I have ever seen. Talk about gorgeous. Many cymbals are beautiful. This one is stunning. It is on the heavy side. The T20 Prototype rides all weighed in around the 3000 to 3200 gram range. If you want to be HEARD and still have a musical-sounding ride you probably cannot find one better than t his. I would personally classify it as bright and heavy. Has a nice shimmer to it. Paiste's T20 Prototype cymbals are craft ed from Turkish-style B20 bronze. They encompass prototypes from the Formula 602. Sound Creation and Twenty Series lines. Industrial stainless gear chain with tabs used for conveyor belt system: 14' long and stainless steel: roller diameter 5/16" Roller width 1/4" pitch 1/2. Between 1965 and 1975 my father invented. Patented and manufactured several different kinds of oyster shucking machines. The final version, which used gas heat, used this stainless steel chain for the conveyor belt system. When the prototype was torn down these gear chains were considered too costly to send to the smelter and have been parked on a shelf in the workshop for more than 35 years. I have only 2 of these left. Shipping is discounted by about $10 if you need both and I've never had a buyer who wanted only one. Tracking and delivery confirmation included.

This is the original 1997 5 string prototype for the limited run FNA Corvettes of the late 90's. Per the letter I have with it. Its one of 2 made. Body is American Ash, neck and fingerboard are Wenge. Really nice grain, very smooth, comfortable and playable. Very much a vintage style Warwick neck as opposed to the newer thicker Ovangkol neck of the 2000's. Have the paperwork to back up the prototype claim from the original distributor and actually prove the folklore of the FNA namesake. As this is a one of a kind prototype, it has a thicker maple top that is not flamed, and the FNA walnut underlay is thinner than actual production models. No front neck inlays, nice maple top finish over American Ash. 36" Orchestral Gong (RARE Authentic Chinese Prototype from 1985!)
I worked for Sam Ash Music back in the mid 1980's in the original Hempstead. NY store. Back then they just had 7 stores in the NY and NJ area but have since become a National distributor with 45 stores in 16 states! At that time, along with running the stock department and doing drum sales, I worked closely with Jerry Ash(President of the company at the time and now CEO) when the company was launching their Samson Drum& equipment lines. Jerry would routinely ask my opinions on new prototypes of cymbals, percussion and drum/cymbal stands that were being made for Sam Ash Music by a company in China and I also did repairs on equipment that came back after sales. At one point, the company had several different prototype Orchestral gongs sent for approval and I purchased 2 directly from Jerry in 1985, one of which I still have and is pictured ... morehere. I wasn't sure how rare this was so I spent a couple of hours searching the Internet and looked at all 330+ gongs listed on eBay and only found 3 or 4 that were similar in nature but no exact matches. I looked at another 175-200 Gongs listed in various places on the Internet by companies that specialize in such items and again was unable to find a match. I then wrote to the Sam Ash"contact us" customer support and to my great surprise. Less than 12 hours later received an email directly from Paul Ash who is now the President of the company and whom I was personally acquainted with when I worked for the company and he told me"We never brought them in as a line to sell" and"The one you have is very rare. AdMagic Triple Bank Light RARE Prototype Unit
This is a rare prototype AdMagic Triple Bank Light developed by Andy Merko of the Admagic Group in Monrovia. CA. In the late 1990's I purchased many AdMagic light modifiers and contributed several assignment photos to their website. Andy personally offered this unit to me when I was at their facility picking up more products for my NYC studio. I have no idea how many of these bank lights Andy made. AdMagic's Soft Fresnels are rare and quite legendary. Being used by many high profile shooters such as Greg Gorman. It has the trademark AdMagic fiberglass shell with stippled aluminum reflection surfaces on the interior. The main bank light aperture(opening) is approximately 20" x 20" and has four large, stippled aluminum-covered barn doors. It mounts onto C-stands and is exceptionally heavy due to the steel yoke and frame around ... morethe fiberglass body. The bank has three rear mount panels riveted to the main body with openings that are 3.5" 89mm) in diameter that accommodate Balcar or Comet flash heads, or any comparable type of flash or tungsten lighting that can be mounted to those openings. The unit was not modified after purchase and is exactly as it left the factory(the small magnets Andy used to hold the barn doors closed are even still there) The exterior condition shows typical wear from traveling as part of my location kit. The interior. However, is near mint. Several of the steel screws and washers exhibit surface rust. As this unit is approximately fourteen years old. The yoke knobs still hold the reflector firmly, even with three Balcar heads installed into the openings at the rear. I have used as many as three Balcar Bi-Tube heads in it connected to two 3200 joule and one 6400 joule packs. The light output was stunning and heat was not a problem with three 500-watt modeling lamps burning at full power. VINTAGE METAL Bb CLARINET EARLY MODEL NO NAME STENCIL PROTOTYPE? PAT.PEN'G USA. Not quite sure what to make of this one. First of all it will need new pads and cork and a good cleaning. It is not playable in its present condition. I did the bell and the neck area so you could see the great bell etching design. I suspect that this horn is either a stencil or a prototype. It has no name on it only the serial number 25022 and then vertically on the back it says"Made in the U.S.A" and on the front under the lower key stack it says"Pat. Pen'g. There appear to be a few newer blue springs on it in places. One thing is for sure.There are no dents on the whole horn and also no areas where the finish is worn through to the brass. It has a nice gold wash bell too(See Pictures! and from the front almost appears rimless until you ... morelook at it from the top. It comes with a lyre,neck,ligature,mouthpiece cover and a Geo Bundy Paris mouthpiece that is in pretty good shape(but appears to need cork too as it fits very loose) and a solid original case in good functioning condition with working latches and hinges. Prototype Zildjian 16" K light HiHats Cymbals
This pair of prototype 16" Zildjian K HiHats were originally given to Jason Bonham in the months leading up to his reunion show with Led Zeppelin. He was looking for some larger hats to match the larger ride he was planning to use on the gig. While he didn't actually use these with Led Zeppelin. They sound amazing and are not something you will find easily. I aquired these from the Ludwig Artist Relations Manager who worked with Jason during that time. Jason had given these to him along with some other cymbals that he was no longer needing. I am not sure how many prototype sets of these were made or if Zildjian ever actually ever produced them in a normal production run. Since it is a prototype sample, therefore no paper patch was attached to the jeans as it was not mean for sale. This is a vintage F. Besson Paris Prototype short shank cornet mouthpiece. The ID is.6 7 0 about 1 1/2 C width. The throat is an 1 4 drill size. And it measures 2. 40 inches in length. The rim is rather wide and fla t. The cup is a medium deep V. This mouthpiece in very good condition. There are nicks and scratches. The finish is raw brass, and the shank is round.
