Press punch 3/4" hole 4 3/4" throat cast iron heavy duty manual hand
This sale is for a heavy duty cast metal 3/4" punch. I obtained this at an auction and I really don't know its application. The rest of the items that accompanied this were for industrial sewing so I'm making the assumption that this is for fabrics or leather. The punch is in as-found. Uncleaned, unoiled, condition. It's dusty and has light surface rust on the bare steel surfaces. It will definitely benefit from a bit of cleaning and oil. The cutter appears to be good. It cleanly cut a hole through several sheets of newsprint. The actual diameter looks to be about 1/32" under 3/4" From the center of the hole. The throat dimension looks to be about 4 3/4" The gap that material could be slid into is about 9/16" The oblong base measures about 9 3/8" x 2 7/8" I can find no manufacturer's information ... moreon the piece.
