For you nostalgic tinkerers: a vintage military contract milling machine apparently operated at Grumman Aircraft- see machine plate in photo. THIS MACHINE IS NOT FULLY OPERATIONAL- I bought it without a motor and installed the 3 phase motor shown in the pictures(which currently works) I have had difficulty getting the belt tension. Speed and torque right, so it needs someone with more time, patience and knowledge than I have. The work table(30.5"W x 22.5"D) is ultra heavy duty with T-slots that measure 7/8"H x 1"W(at base) x 5/8"W(at throat) The machine's head extends approximately 25" and also fully swivels. And tilts. Lot of machine handles mill lathe drill press cabinet Bridgeport Hardinge style
Up for sale is a group of used machine handles. The longest one with the ribbed knob may be a Bridgeport style quill handle. It has a 1" hole in a 1.75" OD ring with a 3/16" drive pin in the one face. We no longer have a Bridgeport here to check it on so I leave the determination up to the buyer on this one. Also included is a straight handle about 6" long on a 3/8" shaft. Threaded on the exposed end with a 1 3/8" ball on the other end. Not sure what it was off of, perhaps an old Clausing or Powermatic drill press? Last item looks like a cabinet lock handle. It has a 5/16" square opening in the end that secures with a setscrew.
